Xenon roll over buttons C-587-6
« on: April 27, 2013, 10:16:07 PM »
Hi guys,

Anyone have any of these C-587-6 buttons or know where to get them? They're a little white button right at the top of the playfield on this game. Also can someone confirm, I think there maybe a spring under them too.

It's amazing what you'll find when you start pulling things apart isn't it. I found the missing button jammed in a corner under the apron. I'd still replace all four buttons if there available to buy anywhere. Anyone know?

Were you able to fine the associated spring for it?  Do the other ones that werent moving have springs under them?

Unfortunately I haven't found the other part to go with it. They're kind of like a washer spring that also holds the button in place.

This ones of the whole assembly fron the underside of the playfield.

Next ones of the assembly with the switch moved out of the way.

This last ones the same as above only I've pulled the button down so that you can see the washers a bit better. There seems to be a flat washer and then a sprung washer underneath. I'm not sure how to get these off with out breaking anything though.

Ah OK, so it is the switch leaf that pushes the roll over back up, there is no spring as such.  the washer is no problem, the little clip may be a bit harder to source, hopefully it is hiding in the cabinet somewhere.

The lower clip on the roll over will come off with some gentle prying.  From what I can see it is basically what limits the upwards travel of the button...the lower the clip on the stalk of the rollover, the higher the roll over protrudes from the playfield.

Yep, that's it in a nut shell. Unfortunately the bottom of the cabinet is pretty clean so I don't like my chances of finding it. I think it's long gone.

This is the type of clip you are looking for - I don't know where you can find them in "one offs" but they can be bought from RS in packs???
