O man that Dark Shadows is a poor excuse for a film.
Long, tedious and lacking a large sense of direction as to what it is trying to be. Great sets and costumes sure....but that is like painting dirt to make it look like grass, it doesnt change the fact that this is one very tacky experience. A mediocre screenplay does little to give the cast any room to breath, let alone shine and the gags seem forced. Did I mention it was long.....
...take a cut lunch or a boardgame or something, you may need it to pass sometime.
Based on the 1966 tv vampire soap opera of the same name that I have never seen and have no desire to after enduring this tripe.
I would like Burton to have the guts to do a film that is normal and does not have depp or bonham carter in it for a change.
Not worth the time or cash in the cinemas and I wouldn't bother with it at all unless you are a big campy burton/depp/bonham carter experience fan.
