I used a water based enamel for the base colour... nice semi gloss finish and fast drying. Thin back slightly with water and away you go... reckon i used approx 1/2ltr for this... LOL- plenty of paint left!

Cabinet and header now complete with cobwebbing...

I used a spray gun for the webbing and acrylic lacquer as its fast drying... its VERY easy to do!!! Just take the pressure from the gun back to approx 10psi and the paint fails to atomise properly giving a stringy effect. Acrylic lacquer dries too fast and some went off in the air, which means that you have to overdo the effect and once completely dry a stiff brush removes whats not stuck to the cabinet properly
