Sadly I can't add a photo from my phone but today I picked up an antique gramaphone the one with the big trumpet thing.
I've managed to get it to wind up and spin repaired the broken trumpet now I just have to wait till the new needles arrive so excited.
Ill post a photo tomorrow unless someone want me to email it to them to post for me?

Is it one of the His Master's Voice types (with the "Nipper" dog on it)?

Cool. The HMV logo with the dog is iconic. It will look great in the games shed.
-
Ill post some photos later. Only info I can find written on it says
KALOPHONE REPRODUCER
MAESTOSO
GRAND PRIX, MILAN 1906

not sure where ill fit this its a lot bigger than it looked in the ladys photo but ill work something out
-
some awsome detail on it. Sadly some of the veneer is lifting but if it was made in 1909 i can live with the lifting.
-
That's bloody cool, where did you find it?
-
That is truly a beautiful piece mate! #*#
-
That should make those accadacca records sound better
-
What a great looking item Daniel ^^^

Yeah can't wait for the needles to arrive so I can try it out. Was for sale by an older lady a few blocks away from home you really don't know what treasures are tucked away in random homes

You're gonna have to get a sign made up soon saying 'Geelong Museum'. I can see your house in another 50 years and the American pickers coming for a visit. And there's you with no teeth, can't stand up and spitting out "NO" to every offer they make.

Nice piece of equipment! I scored mine a few years ago from an "estate" sale (read dead person) and love it. My kids are always amazed at the volume it can produe without having to plug it in! I'm lucky that my father-in-law had a friend with a stack of old 78's that I can play on it - everything from opera to Slim Dusty doing Pub with No Beer ! Make sure you don't try and play modern albums on it, the needle eats the vinyl clean out of the grooves. If you can't wait for the needles, my father told me they just used to snap off cactus spikes and put them in - works fine apparently.
have fun with it. This is my relatively boring horn - love yours.

Nice mate, my grandfather used to have a few of those including a couple that played a tube shaped recording, kinda like a coke can which spins around
Something like this:
