Post by: Strangeways on September 12, 2008, 04:55:27 PM

October 1st - 5th will be the dates for the 2008 Pinball Expo. All the industry leaders attend from all over the world. Top Vendors will have stalls - our friends at Nucore will be there to demonstrate their P2000 development. There will be seminars from leading vendors and plenty of products that can be purchased throughout the Expo. Also, Pinball tournaments will be taking place..

For those of you lucky enough to attend - We look forward to your reports !

So far, Mark from Childs / MarkC Pinballs / PinballSpareParts and Greg from RTTB will head the Australian contingency...

Wish I could be there !!!

hey guys,
I arrived yesterday and have to say straight off of the bat
US customs suck..... 2 hours to clear and l was knackered by the time
that l got the connecting flight to Georgia.

already done the tour of Pinball Inc
and finally got to see the ramp molds up close  both the Wms Factory ones
and the Pinball inc   which was actually quite interesting

was quite suprised to actually see and feel the difference in the quality of the
the Bally Wms NOS ramps Vs. the Pinball Inc ramps..... the Pinball Inc ramps are a
thicker and a lot stronger than the original ramps

Glad to hear you made it safely, Greg...

Not surprised about customs clearance... You are a shifty looking character. Wait until Mark gets there - it will take DAYS for him to clear customs  <.> <.>

Interesting observation regarding the difference in quality of the ramps. As I have ALWAYS said, Original it not always the best. Improvements like the thickness of the ramps to improve stability and prevent breakage is simply part of the process of providing a better service to pinball owners.

We don't want this useful info getting buried in threads.. Maybe create a new thread when you have time ?

Am planning my trip to US - maybe next year.

I think though that Allentown would hold more for me considering the genre of machine i tend to collect.
Expo is the biggest, but Allentown is more geared towards the restore/ rare parts and machines market.

Anyone fancy keeping me company and share a container??

I'm glad you guys started this forum otherwise I would have probably never met these guys and that would have been my loss.

Exactly what I was thinking, Nick.

Chuck - The Aussie Delegation that are attending are definitely the "Good Guys" of the Industry / Hobby in Australia. We are very happy to have Nucore on our Forum and I'm kinda envious that you guys have had such a great time.

Nick - "Normal" = hmmm...

I have not heard of Cameron Silver - Can someone "fill me in" ?
