For some reason I would like to own a BAYWATCH, still don't know why?
Is there any out there, preferably in WA? Seen a couple on the usual public selling sites, but I know a pinhead somewhere can't wait for it to leave their line up.
Cheers Andy

The game does have a good reputation
Good luck with the hunt
-
Good luck with the search, I've always enjoyed playing it when I've come across it. There use to be one in Batemans Bay I'd play a bit but its no longer there unfortunately.
-
Great fun game to play!
-
With your eclectic collection it will fit right in. ()
-
it is a fun game with lots to do, enjoyed it why I had one - forced sale
I added mirror blades and a shark on the left side and really finished it off nice.
here is a video I took with the goal to show the 3 different skill shots (1 one on each ball launch)

Thanks all, there is a Dude called Oscar that is selling one in Vic, one on eBay and one on gumtree different prices !@#
I am not aware of him and this is the reason I would like one in WA as I can see for myself.
Oscar's one seems quite nice with a colour DMD? Is he a bloke who is a member here?

I am singing the theme song " I'll be the-ere, I'll be there" &&

Unless I find a bloody cheap game I will keep my $ till WHIZBANG announce the title and specs on there next pinball!
Yes Dennis and Greg have just announced a new MODERN game for 2017
"Greg Freres and Dennis Nordman Set To Create Another Pinball Classic
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL – April 19, 2016 – Stern Pinball, Inc., the world's oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball machines, announced today that it is working with Whizbang Pinball founders Greg Freres and Dennis Nordman to bring a new pinball game to the market in 2017. Following up on the successful collaboration that brought Whoa Nellie Big Juicy Melons to the market, the new project will present a modern pinball game created in the fun, campy style for which the Whizbang team is known.
“We are thrilled to be doing a brand new game with Dennis and Greg. The Whizbang team brings a unique energy and feel to their games that resonates with pinball players around the world,” said Gary Stern, CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc.
More details will be announced in the future as the project progresses."

wonder if it will be a elvira game?

Oscar is "Pinmem" and he does have a section in the members 'sales and services'.
Haven't seen much activity from him for a while, he's a bit more active on AA.
I have bought a machine from him in the past and was reasonable happy with the way it turned out. Though a friend of mine bought a machine from him with 'minimal wear' and thought he had been given photos that covered all the wear spots, not the case. Game was a wreck. This was a few years back now.
I've found he's a bit hit and miss with level of details in his listings so tread carefully. Could see if one of the locals could check the game out for you.
Fairly sure Nino knows him and has occasional dealings with him. Maybe fling him a PM.
If others have more current dealings that were positive, I'm happy for my opinions to be considered outdated and be wrong.
Cheers

I haven't heard of these guys but they claim one is or has came in in Feb

-
Thanks Dude ^^^ This is why I would prefer WA based so I can see for myself, especially on a 20 year old machine.
I might send them a message and see pricing but don't want to waste their time. Surprised no pinheads want to move this along for GB !@#

some before and after pics, still a looooong way to go before I will be happy. Lots of tweaks to be done and thanks to Swinks past posts have now got the skill shot working 60% there is a ton of fun in this beast and some nice big dots too &&
-
Re chromed the wireworms ( didn't like the brass ) didn't pull mylar yet just polished with Treasure Trove kit and she is sweet as. ALL and I mean ALL the ball guides were rooted and a bit of Autosol and elbow grease has made a huge improvement, Ramp flaps were rusted so used a small wire brush and Ranex then hand polish. ( A skill I have yet to learn, later )
Also need to learn how to capture better shots with the camera.
-
looking good mate, I haven't seen those shark target stickers before and looks like they need a little adjustment..
but looking sweet, nice work
-
Looking great Andy ,
As swink said straighten up the targets , A few of the single stand ups are crooked too, you need to loosen up the targets screws , make good , then tighten them up again , tighten the top screw first and make sure you check the gap too after ...
good pics though , try using the flash for more wow factor ..
-
What a difference a little elbow grease makes !
Playfield looks great now ^^^

Okay, had BW for a while now and it has some ghosting on the LED's from obviously faulty diodes.
Now the question, is there a QUICK way to trouble shoot as there is a lot of lamps in this beast and it appears over 2 columns?
Don't want to disconnect ALL the individual diodes on the lamps to test, any help please?

Trouble shooting LEDs and lamp matrix = STOP !
Go back to incandescent globes and see if the problem persists. Now you know there's no problems with the game.
Invest in Ghostbuster LEDs. Expensive, but they are a much better solution. I learnt this the HARD way with a collector that bought cheap junk LEDs. He was told the problem was with his game, not the junk LEDs. Replaced with GB LEDs and the game is perfect.
-
Cheers all. Fault not showing with incandescent lamps, I use GB LED's ( always ) Only certain lamps remain on ( dull )
which make no real sense on the matrix, so i t is a couple of diodes ( somewhere ) I was just hoping there is an EASY way to test the diodes without taking out of circuit. Or a special trick the experts use to fix.
Looks like a frustrating road ahead to amend. Bugger

Little update, there is a NEW code 4.01 that has been written by another pin freak and it completely changes this game to something rather special. I was contemplating selling it, but am refraining now as it is the deepest game I currently own.
Anyway, while changing the EPROM there was a leg bent in the chip and this is probably why I was having some ghosting issues as after putting in the NEW chip it has solved 95% of these issues I was having. Who would have though to check that, not me.
Back to give her another whirl as I am starting to get into it, might even see if the $$$ is there for the new colour DMD?
" Baywatch will be right back "

Looks like the game is going to be more attractive ;

Now I am truly a Baywatch fan.
Needed some help with ghosting issues and non working rows on lamp matrix. This has been ongoing and driving me firkin nuts.
The lamp matrix had 5 x pre drivers that were screwed and had to replace 7 diodes on the play field lamps.
WHAMMIE, works like a dream now. Some final minor tweaks and what a player she is.
Bit of a naff theme but it certainly grows on you.
Some absolutely fantastic shots on this game and a very cool rule set.
And this is the end of this thread only another 7 projects to go! ^&^
-
have you achieved all 3 skill shots in one game?
it does have good shots
