Title: Pinball Life pinballs
Post by: intopins on August 18, 2015, 01:51:07 PM
Seems we can talk about pinballs so much thought I'd just share my awesome experience with Pinball Life and their service and premium pinballs.

Now, I know there are other manufacturers around who try and do the same sort of thing, and trust me when I say I've tried a lot of different pinballs.

Pinball Life have the best product going around bar none!!! After a thorough search of the web these guys were top of the list from people around the world who recommend them. From America, Belgium, Canada, Australia and New Zealand....everyone spoke so highly of them I had to go with them.

Thank god I did. Not made cheaply!!! The shine is outta this world!!!

Highly recommended!!

Yes, he does have good stuff, of course shipping and the exchange rate are killers.

I prefer to support the local supplier as many others I am sure also prefer - www.rtbb.com.au

RTBB has some great new balls supplied by Homepin....... http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=13940.0

Pinball Life have VERY good pinballs. Out of all the balls I've used (hundreds), they have been a consistent performer. Compared to the ball bearings sold by some sellers, they are excellent.

The trials we have had with the Homepin balls have exceeded that quality. The feedback from people who bought the Homepin "standard" balls has been overwhelmingly positive.

RTBB stocks both the standard pinballs and the Homepin pinballs. Prior to the Homepin balls, we would sell 50-70 balls a month. Since we started selling Homepin standard balls, we sold 30 boxes of 8 balls in 3 weeks. Not one single other ball (other than a ceramic powerball), was sold.

Based on  our tests, APR will be providing "Nearly In Box" restored games with ONLY the Homepin Pearls.. and we have not even seen them in a machine as yet.

RTBB will be stocking the standard balls, premium balls, Homepin standard and Pearl balls. Our next Homepin order will have a minimum of 1000 of each. thats how much we endorse the product.

I have been very happy with all parts I have bought from Terry over the years and certainly can endorse his service.

As already pointed out, the exchange rate and shipping costs make many things far too expensive to ship and that includes balls (actually, ESPECIALLY balls).

I have to agree with the PL pinballs. In fact all dealings with PL was 10/10 every time. The high gloss were always my first choice. I'd like to support local suppliers, but my experience in the past dealing with them left me wondering how they stay in business.

If I get back into pinball, I'll give the Homepin pinballs a go.

Great to hear Nino. Will probably pop by once you get your hands on Mike's balls (it had to be said) :)

It is quite obvious what you agenda is over the last 2 days. If you can't find something constructive to post, why bother ?

Not much point in reporting posts for name calling when you have effectively done the same.

Exactly what have you done for the hobby ?

Ahhhh....there it is, the mods happy to have double standards....wonder what would happen if I called you a loser Mr. Strangways, pretty sure you'd bring the hammer down on my account quick sticks!!

I find it appalling that regardless of what Mike the Night thinks has has done (or you for that matter) for this hobby compared to me that you allow blatant name calling!!

Just for the record, show me where I called Mike the Night a name that would be in the same category as an Idiot, I look forward to seeing that Mr. Strange.

I most certainly DID NOT call you an idiot. I suggested that ONE OF US was a loser (the word idiot was not used by me) - that may well be me, it's for readers to judge not you or I.

In any case, instead of your agenda of attacking me at every opportunity how about offering something of value around here?

Double standards ?

So it is ok for you to report posts to moderators accusing members of calling you names (which was based on exactly what name ?), but then you proceed to then insult other members ?

Please provide the post in this thread where there is the alleged "name calling".

The only thing I can read is the obvious adgenda of your thread, and the accusation towards Mike - " if you miss read that perhaps your eyes need checking"

That would be considered an insult ? Furthermore, who started the insults ? The purpose of this thread is simply to attack the Homepin balls. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sigh

This crap again

There's always someone who's purpose is to stir the pot.

Came first. I think anyone who throws the the first punch should expect some sort of retaliation. Even thought the thread is just trolling at it's finest. Members can make their own judgement on that, but the OP can't stoke the fire and then complain when the stone is thrown back in his direction.

Perhaps.

But deliberately trolling a thread and even starting another in order to attack another member, coupled with the mentioned comments, may overall be worse than calling someone a loser. Just my two cents.

Maybe they aren't as sought after as Homepin balls and that's why they haven't "run out of stock"t? Then again, maybe they HAVE sold out and you simply are not privy to the internal workings of Pinball Life?

In any case, by the time someone ordered from Pinball Life and waited for international delivery it is likely RTBB would have stock and they would have paid for international postage on something they can pick up over the counter locally for free?

Then again they could always just go to Mr Pinball TODAY and buy "8 balls with a cleaning cloth"  %.% for $19 (genuine WMS parts - give me a break  #@#) which is $4 more than the RRP for Homepin Premiums?

All of these choices for the pinball enthusiast!!!

At the end of the day each enthusiast will buy what they think is best for them and their machines and at the price they are comfortable to pay.

We stock Pinball Life balls from time to time. Sold 4 balls in the same period of time as 38 packs of Homepin Balls - doing a quick calculation - that is 308 balls. Aussies support local business' and local products. By all means, RTBB have the standard balls in stock (hundreds).

Just for the record, PBL have run out of items like any other business. Cliffy has run out of some protectors. Marco ran out of 6 Digit displays. It happens from time to time.

To alleviate your concerns, RTBB will have at least 1000 Homepin balls in 5 weeks. No stress.

This thread should have been titled.. "Cloudy with a Chance of Pinballs"  :D

Ok then with all this talk of Pinballs is there really that much difference, in my day if a machine had a round silver ball in it that was all that mattered.

I appreciate the condition of the ball is important but don't really understand the benefits of the more expensive pinballs other than looks and possibly last longer before showing signs of wear. Does it actually make a difference to the game.. I am not stoking the fire, I really would like to know as until recently on this forum I never knew of "Pearls" etc..

I own and play old school machines, no ramps and all the other bizzo that most people are into, are these more expensive balls more beneficial in the more involved machines maybe?

Would genuinely love to hear what people have to say on this..

Cheers: Brettski... :)
