Playfield assembly took longer than I thought. Bally Midway really shoved as much hardware as they could on this playfield, but FINALLY, I got it all back together for testing.

First of all - the entire playfield underneath was reassembled and the wiring tidied up ;

Inside the cab is all good

Playfield is SUPER fast - Only a few minor issues initially, and now I will playtest it to make sure everything is re assembled correctly ;

I'll play it for a few hours and make sure everything is working perfectly. Early on in this thread I mentioned that I have not played a fully working Corvette. This game is absolutely a "sleeper" title. Some of the shots are incredibly fast ! I definitely underestimated this game.

Definitely. I've had a great time playing it. I never rated this title, but I stand to be corrected. This is a bloody fast and addictive game.

Looks great Nino. When I've seen this game previously they've alway had issues and played poorly. Generally dirty too. Great to see one this nice, it really looks special.

Looks great, I definitely need to have a game next time I see one. I not a big fan of car games I've played, but I haven't played a great many titles in this theme.
Still loving my Metallica Premium

Looks great, I definitely need to have a game next time I see one. I not a big fan of car games I've played, but I haven't played a great many titles in this theme.

I'm not a car fan at all - but I can see the theme ties well with the rules and sound. I'm amazed at how good this title is. Many of the DMD's I did not previously rate (ST TNG, Shadow and now Corvette) are very good players - it is just that it is rare to play a perfectly working game. So it is a bit of a learning process for me as well.

I'm tweaking the LEDs at the moment and I'm very happy with the results. I used ALL LEDs on and under the playfield except the yellow 555 lamps with the condoms. I still cannot find a good substitute. The flashers are all LEDs. The backglass has all LEDS for GI, but the 906 are all standard. I don't like 906 LEDs behind the backglass. The contrast between the dimmer 555 LEDS (than standard) and the 906 flashers is too much.

I'm really pleased with the translite LED effect ;

Frustratingly, I cannot find the spare part number for the left hand side factory protector. Lucky I had one on anther game to use on this game. All three of my other corvette's don't have them. I'll email Cliffy and see if he has made one. I can't see how there cannot be one on this game - even with the stronger Pinball Inc Ramps. Also, the decal is missing above the protector - hopefully I have one on its way  &&

A couple of bling shots to highlight the LEDs ;

On the home stretch with this title. My son has play tested it to death !

Pop around any time Marty. I'm still testing it, but I will be informing the members that expressed interest in the next day or two  ^^^

Great job Nino, yes Corvette is a underatted game, good to see more in Australia. I know when I imported mine there were very few in Australia, what a great example  ^^^

By far the best car themed pinball IMO. Mine was lots of fun even though it wasn't working 100%. I had problems with the drag strip.

This one had problems with the Drag Strip. Hall sensor on the board. Expensive board, but cheap to replace the faulty part  ^^^

This particular game had problems with the LT-5 Ramp and associated hardware - but I replaced most of it anyway.

I have to say that there is a good argument that this is the fastest Bally DMD ?

This must be a common problem as one of my vettes doesn't race up the track? I've checked the Opto's which look fine???

I swapped the boards from a working game, so I know it was the sensor. That's the only way to really work out the issue. I can order extra sensors for you in my next Electronics order.

The game is fully completed, and is heading off to an AP member's collection shortly  ^^^

Here are some final shots before I pack it ready to send.

Special mention to Pinball Inc / RTBB and their awesome ramps. This ramp is very complicated, and is central to many of the modes in the game. These remade ramps are of the highest quality  ^^^

The game will be shipped on Monday.

This is a definite sleeper title that has a lot going on and is a very good and FAST game !
