Yes,the start of my collection is a fact. Just got my first 2 pinballs in. #*#
Lethal weapon 1992 data east
Harley davidson 1991 Bally
I was just thinking,if I wanna fill the container before the big move (about 19 months from now) i have to get about 1 pinball a week. ^&^
So I cant be to picky ,and they are not all going to be in great condition.
But thats the fun of it,its a hobby so we got something to do.
Thanks
Hans

I guess there are a few things to consider.
1 - Do you have a budget in mind for these machines ? Keep in mind you will have freight, customs clearance, freight forwarders, Shipping and GST charges.
2 - Will you be keeping all machines in your collection ? Will some be projects for you to restore and sell ?
3 - Do you favor DMD / SS or EMs ?
Sounds like you have an interesting project ahead of you ^^^
-
Yes I have tought about that:
1 - dont want to get real deer new ones, container i own and 1 price for compete shipping door to door and NO GSt for me (1 time only)
2 - From the (about) 80 I will be keeping about 30,10 use for trade, about 6 of them I will give away (have had a lot of help in OZ) and the rest i will sell for cost.
3 - I love them all
(also bringing over a couple of FOTOPLAY'S thats a touchscreen arcade style machine, and some one armdbandits)
*%* Its a big project
-
Can't say I've put too much time into Lethal Weapon but I have enjoyed a few games on Harley Davidson.
Nice start!! Keep up the good work. If you find a nice cheap Cue Ball Wizard let me know.
-
Id be careful with the one armed bandits they may get pulled up in customs would be great to have a few more in the country but the fun police might take them and no one wants them pricks to have them lol. I would love to get my hands on a penny arcade machine like an Alwin clown or even a clockface && if you have them available at your end????
Personaly I'd be bringing across more EM or SS pins dealers have heaps of DMD rubbish available already I'm sure the EM and SS would sell well ( specially if you take cash and tell the wife you gave them to me for helping you unload the container lol)
-
Thanks for the advice.Have to look into that one armed bandits thing,do they pull them out becouse of the "'gambling"?
One more to add to the collection:
Teenage mutant ninja turtles 1991
its in great condition,i love this one.
(photo's comming soon)

QUESTION - what car were u towing all the pinball machines with ? !@#

QUESTION - what car were u towing all the pinball machines with ? !@#
A ford Focus wagon 1.8 (petrol)
-
Ok Cool.
I wondered because your car had some decent weight to pull. Ford must build a decent 1.8 litre motor. ^^^
Over here, our wagons have a 4.1 litre which means u can tow literally anything. But our fuel price is currently $1.50 plus a litre.
-
But our fuel price is currently $1.50 plus a litre.
Its more like $2.28 a litre over here . !!! !!! !!! !!!
Thats why I am getting a diesel, still $1.80 a liter but more pulling power and 2 times the km.
Sometimes it cost me a EM pinball machine on petrol cost, just to get the pinball machines. @.@

That fuel price is just crazy. I think its only going to get worse for all of us. Europe builds excellent diesels. Alot of people here are buying diesel cars/4 wheel drives etc, but the purchase price is very expensive, and unless u do very big kilometres per year, its not a good investment.
Definately good for towing alot of pinballs. ^^^ ^^^
-
I like what you're doing here m-rots ! ^^^
Good luck with the adventure and hopefully us Melbourne/Geelong boys can help you unload some of these pins when they arrive into our country. ^^^ @@*

Unfortunately, the project was put on hold. I still stay in touch with Hans, and he is setting up a foundation in his home country for pinball collections, arcade collectors and vintage arcade (Atari 2600 etc). Some machines made it here and most remained in his collection.

Thanks, good to hear he is OK.
