-
Well thanks to everyone who contributed there ball to my project especially Nino i didnt think to count them but there were shitloads.
Here is the finished idea.
I bought this years ago paid way to much but i had to have it bought gumballs once and they went rotten and yuk looking one day when i was cleaning my junk tub i had the idea to fill it with pinballs instead they look the part and will never go off....
One down side is its now bloody heavy %.%
-
Hehe, hopefully a kid won't bite into one!
I reckon a couple of descrete LED's in the lid pointing down would look good on the balls.
-
Im waiting on some original clear sides for it and once its full i probably will add a few blue LEDS to it ^^^
-
Looks great Daniel - Glad I had the opportunity to contribute ! I still have more at home.
Bit of history with the balls - They would have been removed from the old EMs that Dad used to operate.. some were rusted - so they came up really well.
-
I've still got a bunch if you need more.
-
Christ I thought you were building one of those mechanical clocks...
Looks cool! ()

Mechanical Clock never heard of one but sound interesting might have to make one of them next &&

Oh, My mate had one years ago... Sort of shitty plasticy thing you buy in a gift shop.
It's in a glass case 'bout the size of an A4 page - Like a small aquarium? The balls are smaller.
It had a wheel/conveyor gizmo which carries a steel ball up to the top of a ramp system (Every 60 seconds) - dropped it down a series of ramps. You read the "time" by counting the amount of balls in each ramp. At the turn of the hour - all the (minute) balls crash to the bottom of the thing, then the process starts again. Pretty sure it was all done off one motor.
I will post a link if I can find one on the net...

Got it....

Yeah, I've seen one of those many years back, very cool *%*
-
Have you seen the pic controlled led illuminated marble clock? Made in a lump of wood and displays the time in binary format by shinning a led through a marble. Pretty cool I reckon and on my project list one day - the list only gets longer.
-
Another thanks to everyone who contributed to this project I know have enough balls to fill it completely the last of the balls are being tumbled at the moment. It vends 2x pinballs for 10c what a bargain I'll post a full pic when the tumbler is done %.%
-
If you need more - let me know - I've got more !
-
i also have a couple of old balls hanging around that don't get used any more!

As long as there not in your Wife\ Girlfriends purse like a few of my mates
-
Well still no photos i had to put a few more balls in the tumbler but i did count them.
It will have 230 balls in it when finished it has 190 at the moment and weighs 22kg not sure where im going to put it but there is no way its going back ontop of the one armed bandit *.*
-
When you open "oldies-r-us" in the future... *%*
Would look good on the counter - "self serve pinballs"...
-
I still have some rusty ones lying around in the shed somewhere if you do need a few more.
-
:tumble:

All good Andrew have enough to fill it completely but thanks anyway
-
spill the beans daniel, what is your project....
-
Well sorry for the delay but here are the finished photos of the Pinball vending machine
-
And here is the final weight *!@
-
Definite breach of the scale usage clause there, mate!
When I need some cheap pinballs I know where to go now...
-
Good one Daniel and probably unique no doubt ^^^
-
Neat idea,
Thanks for sharing,
