Wanted - New Creature Playfield Window
« on: September 30, 2012, 08:05:43 PM »
Slowly gearing up for a cftbl restore - does anyone have a playfield window for a creature or congo (as the same) that is NOS or new repro that they will never use and willing to part with. Happy to pay a fair price.

Finding one of these is tough, any leads would be much appreciated.

Thanks for looking and any help you can offer.

When I was looking for one for the recent playfield swap, I asked Greg, but he did not have any left. I ended up buying one from PinballInc at a very fair price.

I have heard they are being reproduced overseas. I would wait until they are made.

I couldn't find anything at a supplier in the states or europe - all out of stock, ended up buying a NOS from a pinsider late last night and it is already in the mail.  #*#

Curly told me they are going to be reproduced "soon" - but didn't give me a date. I settled on the PinballInc alternative rather than overpaying locally.

I'd email Curly ;

instead of the $249 pricetag, until recently it was only $89 in Melb, so I am not sure why the price is different.

Greg mentioned to me a while ago that he was selling them for that price ($90). A very fair price.

I guess there will be more available out of the US soon - so hold on to your hard earned cash for a little longer  #@#

I'd say it's because some people seem to think if they are the only ones to have one they need to stick it to you if you need it.  Then when they get competition they tuck tail, run and make up stupid excuses why they all of a sudden need to drop the price or they bait you into buying using some BS like "last ones" available when they're sitting on a couple dozen.  Funny stuff...unless you're the bloke in need.  You never see that kind of behavior at RTBB and the other vendors who are honest and have integrity.

As for the windows, they are currently being worked on here in the states and once finished you won't see anymore $200+ pricing ever again.
