lookout for scammers
« on: November 11, 2011, 10:42:46 PM »
i am trying to sell a car atm.
have received 2 msgs from interested persons.
the first, a woman petroleum engineer on an oil rig, (out of fone range, but has internet!) wants to buy a surprise gift for her dad.
agreed to pay, then paid into paypal account.
then some bullshit about us paying 950 to western union to get the agent to come and pickup on her behalf.
i said pissoff!

then another , this time a marine engineer.
same sort of thing.

now. only 2 calls. 2/2 scammers. that is 100% scammers!
un fing believeable!

its  a numbers game-for every 100 times a scammer trys even if they only get 1 . easy 1k.
these people suck.
be warned and dont get scammed!

and i bet most of those who get scammed are too embarresed to tell others!

the "I work away on an oil rig (insert anywhere remote here) - and I want to pay you more to help me out" is REALLY - REALLY common.

Has been going on for a few years now.

Must be  :lol

I was watching a show last week, maybe 60 minutes, that had the scammers poaching online dating services.
An old hag had been searching for the love of her life online and thought she had found a guy.
The photo was of a 10 year younger man than her (actually looked a bit like Barry 'The Cougar' Dawson  *)* ), and obviously, unless she had uploaded a photo of Jennifer Hawkins there was no hope in the universe this bloke would give her the time of day, she would be batting way way out of her league.

Anyway... it was these Nigerians or whatever, were sweet talking her for many months then asking for loans of money saying they were stuck in the US without any money to get out, blah blah.
The scammers must have had some patients, looking at her photo and sweet talking her would make my stomache turn.

Anyway, I digress again... she had transfered thousands to this guy, they confronted him in a hotel, caught him out and checked his phone, he had numbers of heaps of other Aussie women.
They showed this dumb Aussie lady the footage, told her the internet was full of scammers, she got back onto the dating sites within hours, thought the stars had aligned again, started chatting with another bloke, they did a background check on him and he was another scammer.
They told her to stop and get out of her computer chair and find a real physical guy, she says no one will want her, NO SHIT SHERLOCK! BUT DON"T BE A STUPID SUCKER!
Even though she had called 60 minutes or whatever sooking about losing all this money you could just tell by the look on her face that she was going to do it again.
People like this deserve to be scammed and are the sole reason we continue to have to put up with this time wasting rubbish

There shld be a reality T.V show on every friday night, which includes all the scammers, kid touchers, rapists and so on. The show would start out with an olympic swimming pool filled with apx 8 huge hungry white pointer sharks.

The aim of the show, is u can bet online, as to which shark is going to be the lucky shark that gets to munch on the first scumbag that is thrown in. 50 percent of the betting proceeds shld be given back to the people who got scammed so they can recoup their losses. everyone wins. scammers get munched, people get their money back, the public is entertained. scammers get real justice carried out. a win win here for everyone.

These parasite scammers mostly target women. They deserve no mercy what so-ever. Mums, wifes, girlfriends, kids all get ripped off. Disgraceful. Start the shark feeding shows on friday night straight away. Bring it on.  ^^^

The world is full of scammers. I sold a fully restored Torana on ebay two years ago and a couple weeks later photos of the car i just sold appeared on another sellers listing for the same make/model.
