Hi All
I have been emailing Anna Newman (the pinball doco artist) the last 12 months with questions etc about her doco and today she let me know that the dvd is going to be released at the next pinball show - California Extreme but she is also going to sell me some earlier as I have shown interest - pestering her.
I purchased 5 dvd's as it is cheaper to freight all at once, and get them before the dollar gets any lower.
Cost will be just just passed on to you guys, as I am not making money off this at all, just sharing the pinball love, but should not be any more than $20 to your door. When they get here I have to buy a DVD post pack and re-post to you but covered by the $20
So if want a copy let me know here, first in best dressed and I will get payment off you once I get them and before I send them out, please post here or send a PM to get on the list for the last 3 - one per person.

What do you get on the DVD, and yes it is a Region 0 so watchable anywhere in the world.
- Pinball Donut Girl - 10 minute festival cut.
- Pinball Donut Girl - 18 minute directors cut.
- The wade krause short doc - 16 minutes long.
- Then there are several other bonus items, incuding a short film just focusing on the clear pinball game and another on the 2013 PPE.
All together , its about 60 min of pinball material.

He guys I just made it with Anna before she sent them I think as got the paypal notice that it was sent, the post went up a little when balanced out across the 8 discs but my estimate is it should be dam close to $20 to your door

no worries guys, thanks for the support and sending payments through. The payments haven't come in as yet but will update the list once they show up with one person left to reply and pay. Our DVD's are on their way #*# and I have packages named and ready to go so will go out the same day they arrive. ^^^
I mentioned to Anna that people were interested here in Aus, so Anna has informed me that for those that missed out, these will be available to the public after this weekend as Anna is going to the California Extreme to show the Pinball Donut Girl Doco and Wade Krause Doco and start public selling, though there maybe a short delay depending how many have been sold and available stock levels. Anna has been touring the pinball events and film events for the last year around the US promoting her productions and this weekend the doco's become available for purchase. She apologies for single dvd purchases costing as much as the postage - hence why I got a few to knock down the price a little.

but after paypal dollar conversion (which is crap at $0.87 even though the dollar is at $0.91) the total is about $24-$25 Aus per unit

wow, I know when I got them she quoted me a price on postage of $5US but then got back to me with the postage to the like of Germany and Aus being $10US for one disc, it might be a paypal thing but guess she will correct it or you will be lucky to score it for that
sorry guys, last thing I wanted for people to be over paying, not by much, but the principle
anyway around the $20 is good value

Same here, very happy with the price ^^^ i wasn't sure about buying this dvd (i almost passed on buying), but for the $20 its worth it even if i ended up not liking it *%*
But having said that.. hey its pinball, whats not to like ? :D

Dudes, this was not a dig at SWINKSY at all re the price! I know he has to then re-send on. Seemed that a few people missed out, me included
For those who missed out this is what PAYPAL ended up costing me so they can buy direct from Anna themselves, maybe I should have just STFU?
I am glad everyone is happy with the price - me too!
By the way it is apparently a double feature DVD also, cool $!&

Here is my little review:
I really enjoyed watching it all.
- Pinball Donut Girl - is based off a true story so for those that get it watch the extras and it helps you appreciate it a little more. Yes not a blockbuster but enjoyable and it's centred around pinball and frat boys and donuts - just a fun little short.
- Wade Krause Doco - simply excellent, dvd purchase is worth it just for this and the visible pinball doco - what a insight to a amazing guy and such an awesome artist with shots of work he did for the visible pinball as well as with donny with the beatniks and metallica and helacopters custom pins. 16 minutes just was no long enough..... and Wade has a few cool projects coming up....
- Visible pinball - centres around the first visible pin experiment Surf Champ, being my keeper pin loved it straight away but interesting to watch as well as quick snipets to 2 bally's done as visible pins.
- and there are 4-5 other 2min little films / background info & footage to a few things.
Well done to Anna for doing pinball proud, some people may say Pinball Donut Girl is not a blockbuster or a great film, but what Anna did was got into pinball and the people of pinball and created a few doco's showing the passion and love for pinball - Hats off to you Anna you have done a great thing for pinball. ^^^
When are you doing more pinball doco's ??????
For that guys that like restorations as well as Wade's work you will enjoy this as well as the general pinballer.

but then Wauchope post office might just be a bit slow off the mark sending stuff out, its IS a bit of a shit hole of a town after all i think!!

I just finished watching this myself. Yeah the Donut Girl was a bit ordinary, got better towards the finish though with them at the pinball tournament, saw a few familiar faces in there from the 'special when lit' dvd *%*
The Wade Kraus doco i absolutely LOVED!! So cool seeing the backglasses and playfields being silk screened.
