I'm new to Aussie Pinball
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:10:59 PM »
Hi All

In the last 9 months I turned forty and must of had my mid life crisis and wanted to get a pinball. I surf all the time so the first one had to to be a surfing themed one - Gottlieb Surf Champ EM which I shipped over from the states myself to Aus - which was a expensive learning curve. It needed more work than I hoped but no regrets.

The addiction has started and since my first one isn't playable yet I then had to get a more modern one - Creature from the Black Lagoon, then just couldn't help myself and recently got a Whitewater. So all of them have a water theme......

Now I have run out of room and have just been having fun and doing a few mods and Surf Champ Restoration starting with creating my own stencils as can't find any out there.

I do have a slight electrical issue on the Creature (posted up today).

Otherwise I will keep my eyes open if I can help anyone else just like I am hoping to get from you guys.

Cheers

You could also try contacting Retropin here on the forum as he has the Gottlieb license and might possibly have stencils, you never know.

 $.$ and  %)% to Aussie Pinball !

Surf Champ is one of my favorite GTB EMs. I did send some artwork to Gavin (Retropin), so I'm sure he will get around to making stencils.

Thanks for the warm welcome, chat soon.

I have almost finished the digital stencil artwork in Illustrator for the Surf Champ so restoration hopefully will start soon, and got lots of goodies from PR.

Cheers
