Bally KISS should I hold onto it now??
« on: March 04, 2009, 09:37:48 PM »
Is this the bargain of the century???Ive kept it quiet till now....I was looking on Ebay yesterday..MMM ok a KISS pinball on there...starting price $1000 and buy it now for $1500....MMM OK...whats going on with that???Seems cheap...and pickup in Newcastle......DAMN as if I didnt just hit that buy it now button within 100,000,000th of a second in hope that no one would beat me....Seems Im still fast enough with the mouse button.,...So got myself a KISS for $1500....
And a special message to the PRICK that tried to scam the machine away from me...SUCK MY BALLS...you scamming bastard...bad luck...nice try but I won..lol...
YES....the lady had her Phone number on the listing...so some prick rang her saying that he did the buy it now and he was on his way up before me to grab the machine from under my nose....NOT THIS LITTLE PUPPY..IT WAS WAR..So I made sure she new I was the real EBAY buyer...and she rang him back and told him to piss off...SHE was top notch..she even knocked back $2200 for the machine for me...anyway its not in too bad condition...Backglass looks great from the front but has some issues right at the bottom in the yellow...starting to flake off but still complete...need to get on to that fast...playfield totally mylared...not sure if that good or bad...but very minimal amout of wear...inserts are sunken...no broken plastics...the machine hasnt worked for over 12 mnths she told me...and she has owned it for 8yrs with not much use...Not going to plug it in and turn it on till the weekend probably...but Im sure it wont fire up...but will have a look at it...Cab is quite faded...not sure if you guys would leave the original paint or apply new paint stencils ect...all this to be thought about down the track i guess..

But not a bad project pin....

And is $1500 a good price would you say???..lol..
Pics I just took 5mins ago.

Nice score Paul. Spray up the cabinet, clean the playfield and you've probably got a $4000 pin. I hope the corrosion damage isn't too bad on the MPU board.

BARGAIN !

Good Score and that's the cheapest KISS I've seen in 10+ Years. Well done - nice to see on the the "nice guys" in the hobby score a GREAT PIN !

Let me know if you need any parts, Paul - I've got plenty of KISS parts that you may need ! I'll see if I have a good "Ace" bumper body as a start !

Cheers for that....and yes at the moment the ACE bumper is the only issue as far as playfield plastics go...all the boards are there...and look good...no battery leak as the batteries have been modded/moved in the past some time...could be lucky...just a fuse..lol..
