Remove and Swap inserts from New CPR playfield
« on: April 19, 2019, 07:01:44 PM »
Hi just asking advice on what would be the best way to address this..

I have a new cpr playfield that has 2 inserts that are in the wrong place..

Just asking what would be the best way to remove them ? !@#

Has anyone done this to a new playfield ?

I am thinking of the artwork and how much will be effected if done wrong...

I have some thoughts on what to do but I want to ask here first..

Will re clear cote it after..

Hold your horses.

Have you informed CPR ?
Depending on the game, and where they are situated, you can always change the color (if that's the issue) by installing an LED that is the same colour as the insert would be. Going to the effort of knocking out the old insert, risking significant damage, just to change the color sounds drastic to me. It CAN be done, and if done carefully, it might work out ok. You would more than likely have to reclear the playfield.
Which playfield are we talking about ?

Well I took the chance after a few beers to remove them ....

It took about a 1 hour + to get them out

Was going to destroy it or have a good outcome.....

You’ve done well by the looks.  Honestly I was expecting a huge mess

Why not just change the lamps under neath to suit the inserts? Bit late for my 2 cents, looks good what you have done.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.
