Title: HRP restored Count-Down playfield
Post by: Crashramp on December 06, 2016, 05:41:05 PM
I had to share some pictures of this Playfield. I just picked it up from Tim and Stuart over the weekend and it is stunning.

This first picture is a before shot. I didn't think to take many but you can see a few spots where it has worn through to wood. There is also a lot of fine cracks throughout the whole of the paintwork and the colours had just dulled over the years.

Fast forward a bit and here is the finished restored playfield back from HRP.

I couldn't be happier, this thing is stunning! Colours are once again vibrant and clear throughout with no more hairline cracks and with a glass like clear coat protecting it that will more than see me out.

Thanks again Tim and Stuart, now I just have to get my act together and start the restoration on the rest of the machine.

Yes, I'm blown away with how nice it came up.
I'll have to take a photo of the apron you gave me too Jady. Tim has worked some magic on that also.

Tim and Stu are simply the best in the business. I did see this playfield at various stages, and the finished product is exactly what I would expect.

No comparison. Well done and ANOTHER happy collector with a saved palyfield  $#$

Looks fantastic!  There's going to be very nice Count-Down in your collection when you get it all back together.

Did HRP use a Pinball Rescue apron decal?

If you don't mind commenting, what range of pricing do HRP charge for work like this?

Yes the apron decal is a Pinball Rescue decal supplied by me. Excellent quality, I can highly recommend them. Pinball Rescue is not far from releasing the plastics for this game also. http://www.pinballrescue.net/Plastics_Available.html

As far as pricing is concerned, Tim takes a collaborative approach to his restorations so each will probably be sightly different, it's probably best to touch base with him personally for your best price guide. It is affordable though considering the work involved and when you have a playfield like Count-Down which will likely never be reproduced it's fantastic to have the option of a high quality restoration.

Thanks for posting Adam, glad you are stoked with this one.  ^^^

I will dig through some photos of the restoration at some stage to better highlight the before and afters.

Really excited to see what you do with the rest of the game  @@*

Thanks Tim, you've given me an awesome base to start from. Really looking forward to starting the restoration on this one, just have to finish Kings of Steel first.
