BALLY MR AND MRS PACMAN RESTORE

(1/1)

ddstoys:
Hope your all sitting down for this.  Yes it is a SS pinball machine  this one belongs to my sons Karate instructor has owned it for years.  Needed new rubbers and a clean so i pack my gear and head over to his place and learned a valuable lesson.  Don't take peoples word for things i ripped straight into the tidy up removing all the plastics posts and globes etc polished, and waxed added new globes rubbers and a ball. turned it on to test the lights and the game didnt work.  The battery had leaked and killed the cpu.  Luckily Mark had a ultimate cpu in stock which got the game running again reflowed a few dry solder joints and replaced dead transistors on the driver board and it was a goer again.  So all that work wasn't for nothing.  Something i will never forget is to make sure everything works dont just take people word for it..

ddstoys:
Once id stripped it down to for a clean found that it still had really good color under the dirt sadly the bumper caps had been glued onto the bumpers so they were just left on didnt want to break them

ddstoys:
I didnt remove the Mylar as the paint underneath didnt look to solid so i just polished the crap out of it came up pretty good

ddstoys:
Came up better than expected the owner was really happy. I still want to get back there and clean up the cabinet and fix a few other items but hes a workaholic and very hard to catch at home

Strangeways:

Look at those colors !
