I'm rapt with my new SC which I got from Morrie. It is a very intense, fast, intriguing, fun, quirky, great looking, great sounding, compact, cleverly thought out and DIFFERENT pinball!
At the request of Wonder (Craig) also the poud owner of a new SC here in the fabulous West, here is a list and pics of the little mods I've done so far.
(1) Made an aluminium plate "Lock Box" to disguise the fugly coil and release arm in the upper lock channel. The home made plastic "combination padlock" gets bumped by the release arm and wobbles about as an animation of sorts.
(2) Made a custom simplified reflector lamp bracket to replace the hideous angular/fussy one. Replaced the 12v #906 lamp with a hi intensity 12v Blue LED. The beam bounces off the prismatic holographic foil on the spinning wheel and looks bloody awesome IMHO.
(3) Colour matched the drop targets to correspond with the inserts ie. YELLOW, WHITE, RED, ORANGE rather than the original foil (which was getting tatty anyway).
(4) Took Elkor Alish's (Mark) advice and replaced white cable ties with red ones on the red plastic ramps - what a difference!
(5) Trying Blue dipped lamps in the Backbox game for the 3 Entries and the central Vault to highlight them.
(6) Reworked custom "price" card
(7) Not mods. Home made repro decal for Token coin slot and key fob.
(8) Finally (horror of horrors, I hear some saying) I cut, bent and re-welded the back legs so they are dead straight in the longitudinal plane but still flared laterally. Did this to squeeze the bastard back into it's recess in my lounge (makes abt 2" difference). Is this obsessive?

hmmm interesting mods
nice job
I will have a look at those for mine ... when I get to play it

Yeah that lockbox looks very cool Max. ^^^
Much better than looking at a coil and plunger.
-
It looks like a nice game. Pat used a similar idea to funhouse with the clock lower playfield, has his usual shot through the bumpers.
I reckon it would look much, much better with the bank painted. Only 1148 units, a bit rare as well.
Nice pickup.

Fascinating game, got to play one at Mark's a couple of months ago, enjoy!

You sir, have read my mind. Your opinion reinforces my resolve to actually do the painting which I've been humming & haa-ing about.
Thanks

It's taken 8 months to get round to finishing the re-decalling, build the wing doors, paint the bank &c &c.
Here's the finished article.
Looks even better "in the flesh" I reckon.

I've played SC once - as I've only ever seen one (at Mark's - and it was immaculate). Definitely a unique pinball.
You've done a teriffic job on this one.

Thanks Mark . . .
You have an amazing memory for an old dude.
Yes, I got a proper glass made after discovering (the hard way) they'd sent the machine here from the U.S. with window glass . . . un-safe edged!
P.S. You must be about due to head West again to where the elite pinheads reside?
Cheers
