Hmmm, might have to put it on the wishlist - but I had better play one first.

This is one machine that I could almost guarantee you won't need to play first.  I still can't stop playing mine and I got it last Christmas - usually by now I have slowed right down on a machine.  Great fun all round, family friendly, deep enough ruleset to make it difficult but achievable and a theme that everyone knows make it a perfect addition to any collection.

You do make it sound good! What would you pay for one - $1600 to $2200 or have they gone up in value?

They are starting to creep up in value but you should still be able to get a nice one at the top end of your price range.  Like everything, you just need to be in the right place at the right time and be prepared to spend a bit of time fixing a cleaning a few things for those sort of dollars.  I got my machine at a good price on eBay but had to spend several hundred bucks and alot of time getting it up to a reliable and playable state.  It was well worth it though.  Another great game that slips under the radar is Frankenstein.  Ohh and Whitewater.......did I mention that I have one for sale?   %$%
