I saw it once in a paint store, and it was super expensive.

Why don't you try Goof Off ?

i have been told that goo off will damage paint work.
i have read a restore webpage and the fellow uses it to remove milar. the site seem to be down at the moment but here is another link that refers to it
http://www.xmission.com/~daina/tips/pub/tip0544.html
the person on the page this link refers to has done several mylar removals
anyway i bought some off ebay. 16 ounces for about $29 au including shipping 4 X 4 ounce bottles.
one link says the spray bottle but the other uses normal bottles.
i will be trying this on an old playfield first.

Goof Off will damage the playfield if it is not used properly. I use use as a "last resort" to remove the adhesive residue.

I use shellite (which our American friends call Naptha).

Use it in a well ventilated area. It is not as harmful as other chemicals, but it does give me a bit of a headache after an hour or so !

My goo gone arrived a couple of days ago, tried some on a white area of my jokerz p/f that is hidden and left it there for 15 min and no damage done to the paint work, didnt even soften the paint, rubbed it with a rag after the 15 min and no paint was on the rag.
i havent tried it on the adhesive yet but if it does what it says it does it will be great.

I tried it on mylar.
worked a treat, and it didn't leave much residue either  ^^^
i removed the remaining residue with more goo gone & a magic eraser.
i will post pics in my jokerz! restore.
oh yeah by the way no paint removal either even after 20 min of sitting in some places.

I agree Nino, It's strong stuff & evaporates quick so don't leave it sitting around with the lid off the bottle.
