yeah i play as another hobby, but never in a band so i have never had to buy road cases.

Faza, if u r near cantebury the guys in Drummers Dream are normally excellent. in my experiences anyway

Depends on the quality of the kit and how much lugging around you plan on doing.
I would recommend a traps case for the hardware if it is a half way decent kit that is going to be transported on a regular basis.

Thanks guys for the responses .

DW eh, the only choice. My brother plays DW drums in our band, his custom set is amazing.
Damn, they would have to be not only the best but the loudest sounding drums I have ever heard.

You guys ever heard Sleishman drums? They are something special.

Nope but I will ask my brother about them when we catch up on Friday.

Sleishman are very good! Serious kit, like boutique stuff.

The company was started by an Aussie too!

Yeah, I went to school with Dave Sleishman, son of the guy that invented and patented the Sleishman floating skin concept. Dave was a gifted drummer in primary school and now does studio work I think. They are still operating out of Chipping Norton in Sydney's west AFAIK.
