Title: 5101 CMOS RAM tester
Post by: robm on October 05, 2012, 09:56:00 PM
Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the best section but just finding out if anyone is interested in a 5101 CMOS RAM tester.

Ingo, from http://www.german-pinball-modular.de/index.html has designed this tester and has a video of it in action here

I have got a few TZ clock boards from him, and he asked if i could be the point of contact for Australian orders.  He is doing a run of 50 of these testers, and if there are a few interested from Australia, he will ship a few to me, then i can forward them on.

Anyway let me know in the thread or via PM if you are interested.  At this stage he has not indicated a price, but the TZ clock boards were comparable to others on the market, but much better design and quality from what i have seen

Thanks

Rob

Would be a handy tool but would all depend on a price.   I have a zif socket on my Williams test CPU which I can test the ram quickly but it's so bloody big once setup I couldn't be bothered

Wish he said "shiezenhousen" instead of "defect".

Just had an email form Ingo in Germany.  The initial run will end up somewhere around $75 plus shipping (within Australia)  If i put the board in a 500g padded parcel shipping should not be too much.

Please confirm that you want one at this price, as Ingo really only wants to ship them to one point in Australia.  I don't want to shell out $100s of $$$ and be left withe testers that people aren't interested in.

Mods - please feel free to move to for sale section

Thanks

Rob

Just realised i made an error with the Euro to AUD conversion, and price is going to be closer to $65 + shipping.

At the moment i have 4 confirmed, any more let me know so i can firm up a number

Thanks

Sent the testers off today

See below for a quick vid of them testing a good and bad IC - excuse the close up of the back of my hand...
