Besides photos, you can easily remove sub sections from the game and let the switches and coils "hang". I never have the need to remove or desolder coils from the mail loom. I just use my trusty "hand made" playield rotisserie and turn the playfield upside down etc.

Some people put assemblies in bags and label them. This is also a good idea.
