For the last 10 years, I've used a Furniture Removalist to move machines interstate and I've never had an issue. Not even one scratch. The company I used have closed down (owner retired), and now I would like to know GOOD experiences (or bad ones - but focus on the "good"), from others so I can decide on who to use permanently.

I did use Neway once and found them pricey - and a contractor picked up the game.

I have used E-Go a couple of time (at customer's request) and found no problems either.

I am used to the "old fashioned" pick up and drop off in one truck, but it appears that these days, that is only the domain of the Furniture removalist or Piano mover !

Anyway, so many pinballs move interstate these days - So I'd like to know who people trust with transport.

E-Go transport is good if u drop it off. Some franchises in some states do pick up and do door to door cause E-Go contracts to many truck/delivery companies.

TNT is best door to door. Have used them a dozen times with pricing only apx 15 - 20 bucks dearer than E-Go. This is why AMD only use TNT. Fully insured and always trackable, with trucks going to every state every day. You are best taking a pinball machine to a TNT Depot. Speak to the Customer Relations Account Manager. Set up an account which takes 5 minutes, they will measure the pinball Length x Height x Width. They will weigh it, they will use that first machine as a permanent template, and they will quote a low figure to keep your account.
This is what I did personally on the Gold Coast with TNT and it has worked for me with the pricing being the apx very similar same as E-Go who are the cheapest. Hope it helps.

I have received pinballs via BIGPOST but that was depot pick up. Not sure of senders end. Vic to WA.
TNT  was pretty good, but again that was depot pick up and they were very hesitant to help me load it into my wagon.
I will be looking at NEWAYS because they are sensitive freight specialists and sometimes you just have to pay the premium!

Prestige Freight have a good name, all care taken. Quite a few guys using them now.
$500 from Victoria to Gold Coast, 2 guys, tailgate lifter, carried machine into house,very happy!

Rob, that is expensive ? I get same with TNT for under $200 insured etc.....

Door 2 door from Vic to Gold Coast for under $200 is very cheap, cheaper than e-go! I paid that from Sydney to Gold Coast with TNT.

E-Go from Hoppers Crossing depot to Gold Coast depot was/is $300 sent one recently.

I opened the account 5 yrs ago, and that's what they charged me then, and fortunately, its still what they charge me now.
I will say however, in the first 2 and a half years, I did have over 80 machines sent/received etc so I think the price was indicative of the amount of traffic I originally did/had. I know it sounds silly, but by just having an account set up with them, gets u a ABN wholesale pricing versus the one off price which they quota at retail. Probably the answer as to why its so cheap being an acct holder ?

Also, I do note, that if you ring ten companies, u still get 10 prices, and ten different terms n conditions.

After several calls back and forth - TNT won't do bulky goods. No exceptions. No delivery to front doors. Australia Wide.

They are moving towards a new "automated" system where if the consignment is over 30 kgs, or it exceeds 120X2120x120CM then they won't allow it to be booked into their system. I told them that a packed and palleted game would be 120X120X170 / 150kg and I was told I would be charged for a consignment of over 400 kgs !

Their specialized services won't look at my requirements unless I moved 2-3 games per week, every week. They will not deliver to a customer's front door.

They may have been good in the past, but that has changed and soon they will be following the E-Go model of Depot to depot. Specialized services for door-door - but EXPENSIVE.

So a line through TNT.

Try Hicks Tpt They are located on Somerton Rd Somerton/Campbellfield. Although they ship anywhere I think they only do east coast themselves and maybe SA
They are not a big company but do a good job with our freight at work.

Interesting, cause it hasn't changed in QLD at all. Sent a pinball machine to WA a fortnight ago, door to door, and got another booked in for the 21st of this month to VIC, door to door. Will ask my TNT account Manager next pickup. Must be a melb thing, or only for new accounts ??. Will ask, but I don't have any issues.

Forgot to add. AMD/Stern Aust major dealer sends every Brand New in Box pinball machine using TNT door to door residential and commercial every shipment.
I have received all new Sterns door to door using AMD/TNT for all new and used Stern pinnies...AMD is ofcourse in Sydney.
AMD/they don't have any hassle either a few hundred times a year as well.....sounds like the person u spoke to Nino has made a grave error or just couldn't have been bothered.

TNT AUSTRALIA are moving to a new system. They would not create an account for me to move pinball machines, door to door as the new system will not cater for this requirement unless I use "Specialized Services". To create an account for "specialized services" I need to move at least three consignments (pinballs) per week. The "specialized Services" Manager confirmed this fact with the Business Account Manager. I don't fit the criteria, and based on this information, "door to door" for bulky goods will no longer be an option.

They will not allow anything over 120cmX120cmx120cm that "cannot fit on the conveyor belt system"

AMD use TNT "Specialized Services". They fit the criteria of 2-3 Bulky Good consignments per week.

The persons I spoke to knew exactly what they were talking about.
