Is this the coolest school in the country??

Hi all,

Just thought i'd share a few pics of a Wms White Water i was asked to repair today.. it was in of all places.. a school  :D

This was at Long Flat School, Long Flat is about 30kms from me here in Wauchope (NSW midnorth coast for those who dont know the area). Long Flat is a TINY little town you travel thru on your way to Tamworth, we used to joke about it being the sort of town where if you blink while driving thru it you'll miss it  :lol :lol

They have this game in the multi purpose /rec room at the school, One of the teachers there organised getting it for the kids to play (and for himself it seems as he has a few pins of his own at home) so it actually belongs to the school!!

How cool hey??!! I think its safe to say that most of us here on AP would've LOVED going to a school like this as primary school kids  *%* *%*

My guess is that the teacher is the Physics head. Cool, teacher and idea, teach the kids some physics basics.

The game had a resetting issue when the flippers were pressed, i did the usual caps and bridge rectifier plus repin some connectors. (another tech had tried to fix it twice before i got the call). I play tested the game for half an hour to make sure it worked 100% before i left.

And yes the game is set on freeplay  *%* *%*

Get those kids back into school and learning, playing pinball is a waste of valuable school time.

The school I went to had anywhere between 6-10 machines at any time - this was between 82-88. From what I remember: Firepower, Black Hole, Playboy, Gorgar, Black Knight, Centaur, Eight Ball Deluxe, Flash, Kiss, Pinball Pool, Stellar Wars.

Not bad.

Would have liked a pinball at at my high school. We only had sport like surfing, fishing and what I did one year.....remote control car racing.

When you are getting some of the best academic results in the district, it is time to introduce more fun and more variety.

The students get to play the pinball on wet days in the fun room that contains board games, giant chess, giant checkers, giant connect 4 and table tennis tables.

The students in the school also have access to a computer each, their own dedicated guitar and their own pushbike.

It's a small public school (K-6).

I got the pinball because all kids should learn to play pinball. It's about the best hobby in the world. (IMHO)   ^^^

What should we get next?
