How time flies when you are having fun !
This month marks the one year anniversary of Aussie Pinball $#$
Technically speaking - It was the start of this month, and we should have picked up on that. Not to worry !
We have every reason to celebrate this milestone, as I believe this is the best place to "hang out", share experiences and learn something new ! Pinball has not been as exciting as it has been for MANY years, and we have all worked together to make this place "what it is today".
Special thanks to Creech - Who was responsible for setting up the "backend" of the site, and sorting out out the teething problems when we started out. He is always "quietly" looking after the running of the site, and I think we have never suffered any downtime. Of course our latest Mod - Pinnies4me - has done a great job since coming about in his role. Honestly - the three of us don't really "moderate" anything.
Sponsors keep the site running, equally the kind donations from the members - Without this - it would be difficult to have the site running at all
I would personally like to take this opportunity to thank all the members that have made this site what it is today. !#%
I've made MANY new friends and learnt a lot form other pinheads in the last 12 months. There are many great characters on this site that make the site so enjoyable to login to every couple of hours..

A year already???... i remember sitting down and thinking "right... what we gonna talk about then?"" - LOL!!! Is a life of its own now.

so much has gone on in the last 12 months the last 6 months even
but AP has seen it all and will continue to grow
its has been the place to be and if you are into pinball its be here or MISS OUT

well done all involved keep up the good work
but more so well done to all the members as this site is only as good as its members
no matter what sponsors the site has , AP is and always has been for its members and I for one hope it stays that way
its a members forum and great place to chat and help each other out , no fighting no BS no family insults no crap and its simple as that NO crap here

I remember the first few posts, and looking back a couple of times a day hoping for some activity. Now I have trouble keeping up! This place really has attracted the greatest bunch of guys (and a couple of great gals) and it's a pleasure to be part of this forum.
Congrats to all the members, those that contribute have taught me lots and I'm sure it's the same for many others. I hope some of the lurkers come forward too - we don't bite (hard) and everyone who loves pinball has a story to tell, and it's a story we all love to hear.
Congratulations to all our members who have in one short year created the best pinball forum bar none!

Is it really 12 months??? Geez, it really doesn't feel like it's been that long, but also feels like AP always existed!
Even though I've had a few long breaks, I really enjoy coming here and answering questions, reading people's stories, and meeting new people.

I recall logging on and finding little if no action at times and drifted away from AP. I'm sorry that I did and missed a few months during which time there was a massive growth spurt.

That is what it's about - not the actual pinball machines but the cool people you get to meet and share info with.
Maybe everybody should make a massive effort to get together at the Sydney Pinball Expo in 2010?

I was wondering if the great guys who run this site might design an add on to the personal page which includes a photo of ourselves.
when u click on a members name it brings up the personal page which shows email address, suburb etc. it would be good to see the faces of the members for when we send and share posts.
* no cheating, if we have ten members who look exactly like brad pitt, we will know something is up.
AND for some of the older members, no photos from the late 70's. lol. has to be current !

I think Creech would be able to do that - even if we added the pictures on "our own post".
The idea of attending the next Aussie Expo "en masse" would be great !

just a normal dumb pinball guy who enjoys playing pinball when I get time

and if brett gets a bk2000 off you before i do then I will sell my pins and never repair, play or even look at a pin ever again and delete ap from my favorites. (Brett knows I am serious about that)

Hmmm, I'll have TAF when it's finished, lucky I scraped in despite having been away for two weeks.
