Bathurst 1000 pin
« on: May 27, 2009, 02:30:45 AM »
No it doesn't exist, but it would be fun if it did.

If it did exist, what would you like to see on it?

Some ideas to get you started:
  • Backglass - painting of the starting grid (NOT a photo)!
  • Completing 'overtake' targets moves you up one in race position - start in say 10th position and work your way up
  • Completing loop combos or ramp combos scores laps - get to 1000 laps in first position to enter wizard mode
  • Over the Mountain ramp
  • The Chase (chicane) ramp
  • A centre shot known as Conrod Straight
  • Mini steering wheel on lockdown bar to control video mode driving game
  • Pit stop to lock balls for multiball
  • Play as Ford or Holden with separate high score tables for each (could have slightly different playing conditions depending on your choice)

I have no interest in Bathurst, but I reckon I would love this pin! Great ideas Andrew, perhaps you could team up with Nug/Nick and build a prototype?  %$%

Could be a fun theme...
“If you wanna escape, go up to a pinball machine. There’s a magic button on the front that takes you to a world under the glass and makes the the rest of the universe disappear.”

Hmm,

Classic theme.  I love it.

Multi level (old skool) as 3 playfields.

Three special balls (a red one - for Holdens, a blue one for Fords and a black one for GODZILLA) when multiball activated.

Not sure about the 3 playfields - sounds like a lot of work!

Like the idea of coloured multiball.

How about a Captive Ball that you have to Smash into just like "The Rock" that Dick Johnson smashed into

Sounds like a real possibility, will add that in for now.

I am going to have to start drawing this out or something.

Maybe a few modes like:
Dodging a plastic bag that can get sucked into your air intake like Lowndes
Or try no to run out of fuel when you are in the lead on the last lap and start crying like Seaton
