BSD fuse problem
« on: August 05, 2009, 06:19:00 PM »
I just finished shopping out my BSD and when i turned it on fuse 901 blows. I rebuilt the flippers just incase that helps anyone. I have blown 3 fuses so far trying to work out whats wrong. With no fuse in f901 i turned pin on  and tested all the solinoids and they all worked properly. All except the left flipper, the right flipper works also. An interesting footnote....with the pin turned off i have tried to put a fuse into f901 but it sparks like there is power. Don't know if that helps. Any help would be appreciated.

Fliptronics Board for WPC-S and Earlier
These games use standard 1.25" fuses.

    * F901: 3 amp slow-blo. Used for lower right flipper.
    * F902: 3 amp slow-blo. Used for lower left flipper.
    * F903: 3 amp slow-blo. Used for upper right flipper.
    * F904: 3 amp slow-blo. Used for upper left flipper.

found this info here:

If it was working before you rebuilt the flippers I would retrace my steps. Pay very close attention to the polarity of the diodes on the coil and make sure no terminals or wires are touching anything.

Fuse blowing............something must be shorting out. Test wires/transistors associated with the faulty flipper back to the fliptronics board.
