I can't wait to be able to see the "Pinball Trader" section of the forum, but it will take me a while to generate 20 posts!

not much for sale
this site is geared more towards maintenance and restoration of games

Thanks for the heads up on the STTNG pinball on FB.
$10.5k is ALOT of $$ for a pinball, heck i could get a brand new Stern for that price!
Is 10.5k a typical price for a ST:TNG???

Welcome and good luck with the search sadly pinball prices have gone stupid lately hopefully one pops up for a better price for you

Welcome, be careful. I bought my first one 18 months ago. I've got twenty something now.
Occasionally one pops up for sale here, but not often. Aussie Arcade is a good place to find them for sale, beware getting to involved there in the forums though.
There's a couple of facebook groups, pinball oz wide and australian pinball buy and sell that are pretty genuine and have lots advertised. as said since covid prices have risen sharply and lots of people are trying to cash in on it.
Not sure if they'll fall all the way back again, i suspect not.
Why Star Trek, is it theme or have you played it and fallen for it?

Sttng has been moving up in price for a while now. You need to be patient to find something at your price.

It's one of the few pinballs i remember being half decent at as a teenager and it's pretty forgiving to play. The game rules are also pretty easy to follow.
It also doesn't hurt that i'm also a huge Star Trek fan.
Whilst i can barely afford to buy the one mentioned for 10.5k, i just don't think it makes sense to put that much $$ into a machine that is 27 years old.

you could put a wanted add up on Facebook or alternate forums
but normally you will pay more for it...
as other members have said prices are totally ridiculous at the moment ...
or you could contact a dealer and put your name down for one as some people just trade a machine for a new pinball
-
$.$ and %)% to the forum !
I would be holding off for a while as prices are ridiculous. Most sellers are cashing in on this unexpected boom, without adding any value - just are just thrown into the market for a quick $. Take your time - Don't but the first one you see, and if you are going to pay anywhere near $10K - you are looking at least ColorDMD, new ramps, plastic set etc...
-
There are many underated titles that still go for good value if you don't want to spend 10k.
You'd have to look harder now, but at the start of the year you could still buy good Williams machines that have been restored and shopped for 5k and under. You could have say a Whilrwind and a Hurricane for your 10k.
Haven't seen much come up lately but i got a very nice video documented restored Cyclone off the facebook page this year for $4,200.

I'm still on the hunt for a ST:TNG.
-
Might have to settle for a Attack from Mars or Back to the Future!
-
I have 25 machines here and Attack from Marsrm is my favourite.
