here is another pic of the playfield, didn't realise it had a CFTBL style whirlpool ramp
Be nice with the tilt set OFF and give her a shake like the ol' CFTBL and crank up some serious points.
Is that a FORD badge right in front of the flippers?
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

Personally I think the cabinet art looks terrible, it looks like a pasty red smudge.  I haven't seen any really good shots of the playfield to see that and the quality of the artwork and design clearly, but from what I can see it doesn't really impress me either.  Maybe it play really good tho.

there is also concern that in the US that this machine will only be sold through Ford dealers, bye bye sales and what happens with services. That could be a real bad move.

I sent a email about this question, n machine sold as per normal thru all Stern dealers worldwide, same with AMD in Australia, as well as thru FORD USA.

Also, got a email back saying cabinet art wasn't finished or committed yet on the 3 different models. Pro one at show was a proto-type early rendering. Many more surprises ahead apparently.

Early days, I think you will find the tweaks n the final touches will make this a beauty. In person, the artwork on all Sterns seems to be much better in person than in photos. Avengers n X Men were good examples of this. Even ACDC looked better in person than net pictures.

I am hoping to receive a few pics of the Premium n LE model directly from my friend/contact at Stern. Will post when they arrive.

The spiral ramp like on bugs bunny or CFTBL is designed to represent doing donuts in your car. Awesome.

Playfield colours remind me of Rolling Stones.. im not a big fan of  late model Stern artwork

Nope looks ordinary to me. Can you guys who like it maybe list what's new/creative on this? Looks to me like a plain looking game and the pf artwork is less than inspiring. Please don't list because its about ford that adds to its appeal, I'm interested in the pinball appeal aspect. I'd like a Linda Lovelace pinball but if it looks and plays like a piece of crap with the same old targets and ramps, what's the point. I'm not having a go a stern here I'm just not seeing the hype in this but am willing to listen.

Appears average I have to say AND is a niche/closed shop title from the get go.

Can you imagine ONE Aussie 'I am a holden man" EVER buying this game and allowing it in his home - nope
So there is some potential customers killed off immediately.
Add to that people that dont want 'car' themed pinball and the fact it looks very ordinary.

Sorry, I have supported the last few Stern games well, and like them ( XM, AV and MET ) - but not this thing.
Doesnt appeal to me personally in any way.
But thats just me.

I must admit it does look plain but I'd need to play it first to make my final judgment :-) I was going to wait for it but decided at the last minute to buy a STLE instead and I'm glad I did :-) hopefully a few make it here and I'll get a chance to play or grab a second hand one down the track.

I think you made the right choice there mate. I too look forward to a game to make a final comment on any game. Anything less is really speculation.

With those US prices, don't expect a lot of change from $8950 for AUS Pro.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Wow, if that is the case I can't see amd selling too many over here.
7k for a nib pro at the moment is highway robbery but the best part of 9k would be nothing short of INSANE and a blatant cash grab by Stern and AMD.

I really hope it is proto - especially from the art package point of view. It would be a huge step backwards if it was photoshop crap all over again. Although I can understand cost cutting to non pinball fan sales to Ford reps. Pinball fans that have watched Stern's standard rise in leaps and bounds won't fall for another "Rolling Stones" standard package.

I'm waiting for pictures of the release game, rather than writing the game off, but I hope it is a dramatic change from what we see already.

another photo of what might be a few proto's heading to possibly a car show. the art on the lhs one looks to have the car facing the rear of the cabinet, different colour cars and maybe a blue trim on the lhs (hard to tell)
