Lineup just announced

Mettalica to headline with a host of other bands along for the ride.

Some great bands have played Soundwave, would be a great festival, managed to get to the first and last shows of Metallica's last tour, they put on an amazing show.
Funny timing, I just started watching a series that I had recorded off ABC2 called Metal Evolution not a bad look into all the metal genres.

I am not a metallica fan but have seen them live and the show is amazing.
I just hope it doesn't rain like it did last year, nothing worse than rain at a outdoor gig.

Farout, i HATE festivals with a passion....

Sadly it's the ONLY way most of these acts come out now, most aren't big enough to support themselves (financially) in their own show, which is a sad indication of the music scene in general today.

I'd go just to see Anthrax. Of the big four thrash bands of this era (Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth), I enjoyed listening to their music. Great live band.

Im not going to this time round, but there are some big bands,
im just hoping for the side shows. as i want to See "a perfect circle" who are playing at sound wave, but would rather see on their own show so my fingers are crossed i made the right decision, lol i did the same thing a few years ago with TOOL. and got lucky they had a side show and didnt have to waste a day @ bdo with bad acoustics to hear them. Last BDO i went to was RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, it was fantastic

sound wave are pulling the bands this time. BDO have really missed the bands this time lol, the best BDO can pull these days is a tired old Red hot chili peppers and 360 lol

I would hate to even hazzard a guess at how much money it would cost to bring that line up here to Aus. but good on them.

Yeah, I hear you there, it's a sign of the times for sure. Fortunatley there is still local scenes going on where you can catch local bands and the odd smaller touring act.
I would much rather see a band in a club.

just be carefull with that idea.
there is a group of people who dummy bid on these tickets jacking the prices with no intention of paying. they are a group of people who are against scalping so they attack ebay tickets, making them where no one can possibily buy them for and these idiots selling them think they are fetching big money when they arent.

BDO when rage against the machine played, you saw those tickets selling for almost $10grand each lol, it made the news that year and not one person ever saw the m0ney lol, and they were left holding tickets for BDO after the show finished lol.
so take those ebay prices as a grain of salt

also buying tickets off ebay, careful, they have a no resale policy ad soundwave and big day out troll ebay canciling tickets if they can see the serials. i know of some one who got stung that way
