Dude this looks fairly decent. Price pending of course.
This should fill a nice hole in the market as pinball prices are just plain retarded, says he who bought a WNBJM %$%
Any more details?
-
looks like a speaker in the front door panel, and would be a mdf cabinet and playfield for $3900 USD, apparently a few guys had the brochure a few weeks ago but did not release yet and Stern has not publically said anything yet.
-
Most notably, a colour display!
So, if these were brought to Australia, they'd be around $6000 retail. That's a lot of money for an MDF cabinet and a pinball that isn't a full sized pinball.

playfield

I seriously cannot understand how Stern think these will sell.

Easy
They are aiming for a market that knows nothing of rules, no buyer of this game will complain if incomplete code
Less Toys means less to break
Probably not made at Stern HQ, so the quality should be better
(If that last comment does not get CoT back, nothing will) ;)

What would the price be in Australia - close to $6,000 ? Who would pay $6000 for a toy ? You could buy a real pinball for that price - not new - but restored. I don't get it at all ^&(

But, but, it has a full size regulation playfield

We all still know very little about this machine, I still think it is a very nice market for them.
Not all people realise there are older properly maintained pinballs, probably more have been stung by some one wanting a quick buck by selling a broken boat anchor.
Price, who knows?
Above all it looks like fun and with a sort of relevant theme. Maybe not for me, but they are trying.

It looks much better than the original "The Pin" but note worthy that it is $500-$800 more as well.
What I am puzzled about is a pro GB MSRP is $5995USD for example and for argument sake this Spiderman "The Pin" has a rough MSRP of $3500 USD which is roughly $2500 USD less than a pro. It is shaped very similar to a pro cabinet wise and almost full sized backbox with a colour lcd. Downsides are mdf playfield and mdf cabinet and speaker in the front. It has needed licensing, programming, design, art (which does look pretty good) and probably has some slimmed down mechs ????
Maybe a refined "The Pin" with a ply cabinet and playfield, 2 x speakers in the backbox and a plate where the coin door is (so people wanting that classic look could add a coin door) and premium / le mechs and then you would nice machine with maybe some selling potential at say about $4k MSRP.
I bet the new pro (if they still do it) with a LCD will probably have a MSRP of $6250 - $6500.

It appears the spike1 system does in fact run color display.
Probably needed more memory for higher resolution on the high end pins.
Hence Spike2 evolved.
