G'day guys,
Just an update to this thread, Ian went ahead and bought the Stern Lightning after he and i did a nearly seven hour round trip about a month ago to pick up this game, and a Wms Flash that i bought for $230 (bargain of the century that one!! more on that game later).
Anyway back to the Lightning in question, they guy selling offered it to me initially but i only wanted it as a parts machine and wouldn't pay the $300 he wanted
It had a dodgey looking home made backglass, dead speech board and worn (but repairable) playfield. Ian (howzat) decided he wanted it instead so it is now sitting at the end of my work resto queue.
The lack of a backglass was a pretty major stumbling block as far as i was concerned, but i have sorted that problem now after finding a translite on ebay which i bought for the game, that arrived today
