With deference to Coconut Island, Homepin, Mr Pinbologist, Nucore, various previous posts and many people not mentioned;
I'd like to begin a mainly pictorial thread on privateer's (and some small concern's) efforts to build custom and conversion machines all under one heading.
There have been some wonderful and also some pretty dubious EM and SS attempts over the years.
With the advent of P-Roc and some other amazing hardware & software systems, it strikes me that there might be more late era machines being scratch built or converted too.
We'll start the old chrome vanadium ball rolling with some pics I've gathered:
PLEASE keep adding MORE stuff if YOU'RE interested in this topic!

This is a one off as it never got into production so i guess you could call it a custom machine...

Homegrown Aussie $#$
By Homepin (any progress?)
and Coconut Island

I seriously did not know that there were so many home made games !

Bet that Iron Maiden custom pin is a mean drainer, I can tell. %$%
Surprised that an Iron Maiden pin was not released early to mid eighties, the artwork alone would have sold it. My guess is that art on an Iron Maiden pin could only really have be done by Derek Riggs, and not the contracted pin manafacturer artists.

The Iron maiden caught my eye too. Really well done graphics. Very interesting collection of pics overall. Makes me want to try one %.%

Not quite a custom game, but here's beautifully modded Dracula . . .

The Astro Boy pin is my favourite so far but that Dracula looks great too. ^^^
This is a great thread idea Max keep em' coming.

Here we have a machine that was supposedly released in 2003 by Churchill Cabinet in the U.S.
IPDB and Pinball news covered this pin, saying it was for the home market.
Appears to be based on the National Lampoon series.
No stats on production . . . looks like another one wilted on the vine.

I agree with you here Mark... Dracula is sweet but Astroboy looks magnificent.
