I CANT BELIEVE IT ! MY STAR TREK VOYAGER MACHINE IS FINALLY IN MY GAMESROOM !
After 4 months of endless hassles (due to an idiot ebay seller who was a moron) my dream machine is finally in its fun place.
Moving the 210 kg monster off the extra wide trailer and up my driveway was no easy task. The rain was about to bucket down and I
wasnt letting it rain on my new toy so my brother and I just muscled the big bugger up the hill and into place.
Overall, I am very happy. There are a few new scuff marks due to the idiot seller not packing it anywhere near acceptable but thats why
i would NEVER ever reccommend a seller on ebay called ARCADEPLANET. At every turn this guy tried to rip me off and never supplied paperwork or anything I needed for customs clearance etc, but i just never gave up. The motto here is just never ever ever give up.
I will post a video when i get 5 minutes but a few photos is all I can muster after a very very long day. Anyway, i am happy i got there in the end.
-
In the words of Joe Dirt, DANG!
That is one BIG machine!
Can't wait to see the video.
-
Well done, Cavey!
May the machine live long and prosper.
-
wow that does look great! gratz on the purchase mate!
-
Holy crap - the mutha of all machines!
-

-

Hell yes Mark, come n play a game or two on the Trekky Arcade/ Shoot them up. Anyone is welcome anytime, but espescially you. lol.
I better get off my butt and pay for the Sega JP-Lost world you are holding for me, so its here before you come over for a geezer.
Theres a few pinballs laying around here and there as well. My house looks like your showroom. I will blame the medication. lol
Plenty of moonshine, whisky n bourban, plus beer. What a great hobby, alcohol, pinballs and shooting things. Yep, i am in heaven.
Thanks for the kind word guys. Muchly appreciated. ^^^
-
you must be so happy to finally get it home
Congrats, enjoy :)
You also know that after all that hassle, one will appear on E-bay only less than 100Km away !*! ;)
-
Wow that looks damn impressive mate, what an effort to get that thing here all the way from the US.
Enjoy it! ^^^
-
Well done bro!! #*#
-
Well done Cavey - I admire your persistence and I'm sure you are more than pleased !!
How many games have you had on it so far ?
^^^ ^^^
-
How did you get it in there?
Looks like it would weigh a tonne :lol
-
According to the Manufacturers Company President (Playteam Inc), it is the only Star Trek Voyager Deluxe Unit exported outside of the USA.
Now i know why, its so big and hard to transport.
When i come home from work, i will play some games after i finish setting it up. And will do a video for everyone. ^^^
-
Looks like you could throw some wheels on that and drive it down the street :lol
Uh-OH …..now I have put a crazy idea into Caveys head #@#
Congrats mate – gotta get up there one day
-
before this machine turned up brett used to have plenty of spare room in his garage, as i said 'used to'.
the great thing about it is it uses a standard pc to run the game with a standard graphics card and a standard pc power supply. the only thing that is not off the shelf is the pcb that the guns plug into. but there is only a couple of i.c's on that board, not much can go wrong. over the next week i am going to backup the hard drive for brett as the software is the hardest thing to replace.
Looks great brett and even better when seen in the flesh.
we had to install a 240v to 115v transformer in it to run the monitor. Fortunately the pc power supply had a 115v, 240v selector switch (as most pc power supplies do)
now to get some time to play it.
-
Andrew (Beaky) and I fired up STAR TREK VOYAGER tonight and did all the testing and made a few slight adjustments.
Had to spend $190 on a transformer from Dick Smiths to run it. 240v to 115 volt. 3 amp etc. Beaky knows wht he is doing and took care of all that.
Andrew has taken one gun home to fix as something was rattling inside and it needed fixing. Otherwise she works fine and I have been shooting at the Borg and conducting various missions. We will look at a speaker upgrade on two of the speakers. They are fine but i reckon we can get a bit more clarity from 2010 models versus 2003 models.
Overall, I am happy with the new toy and a big thanks to Andrew for his help setting the power/adjustments up. There is nothing Andrew cant do and I am pleased i scored a good mate and tech from joining Aussie Pinball. The factory red LED kit on this machine is awesome as well. Forgot to mention that earlier.
I love star trek so having this has voyager machine has made my decade. Voyager is my favourite trekky series so i am over the moon. The game is fun and challenging and has hundreds of levels/missions.
Now, to invite some other members over for alcohol and pinballs and star trek shoot em ups. ! ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Good one cavey ^^^
I might call over sometime this weekend for a few games

My 9 year old is having her birthday tomorrow, so i will have 20 kids here in the arvo.
Star trek arrived barely in time. I will let the kids have a go, but if they wreck anything, i will have to rip arms n legs off. lol
Leon, come over mate, anytime. still cold beer here from last time ! ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Fantastic Brett im stunned you fitted it in there there wasnt that much room when i was there... Looks to be well worth all the effort only one in Oz thats got to be a bonus ^^^

its funny you say that about driving something like a arcade machine or pinball down the road. I have some spare pinball cabinets, and i was thinking about converting my spare bugs bunny birthday bash into a driving pinball by shoving the cabinet onto a go-kart or something.
driving a pinball down the street would make a great video. crazy stuff never hurts, yet ! :D :D :D ^^^ ^^^ ^^^
-
thanks mate , will drop u a line when i get there if have some time , I am sure the wife and kids already have everyday booked with theme parks

Glad it finally made it! Enjoy it!

now that both guns have been repaired the game works perfectly.
isn't it lovely how a company can sell you a machine that is in perfect working order and one of the most important things need repairing?
I had to smile on saturday when i was repairing one of the machines and one of the mothers came into the games room with her kids and said "wow this pinball palour even has its own technician" @@*

Classic - obviously you look like you belong there, Beaky.

I am like Williams father on the black pearl in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, when i have finished my work i just mold back into the wall. lol

Wow!,
Hanging out for the video,
Red
-
Saw one of these 'live' in the rivercentre mall in San Antonio - thing is huge.....hope you still enjoying it.....
-
You probably saw it at a shopping mall or a cinema. Thats where the Deluxe Voyager model was designed to go. Yeh, they r big but i love it to death.
Never exported outside USA cause of the size, but i feel very lucky to have spent so much time shipping it and my hard work paid off.
I will do a video real soon. Just updating the hard drive and a new one is on its way from the USA.
-
It's worth it for the cabinet alone. How hot is 7 of nine? !*! Your garage must be smokin'. :D
-
Bagwan, here is the link to a video I made of STAR TREK VOYAGER CABINET a few months ago incase u havent seen it.
