I already have a project that I'm slowly working on (Thoro Bred) and another 3 in the queue but on the weekend I bought another one from an AA member.
I must be crazy *%* but the I think the price was right .
Its an export version Black Hole , looks to be a Euro import from Germany . So, no spinning disk or inifity effect backglass , but heck the game is the same .
I know squat about SYS80's by the way but I played this game back in my arcade days.
Headbox is currently empty (stripped out by seller) and will need a repaint , so I will be repainting the cab as well .
The good news is it came with the following parts
New Ni-WUMPF CPU and driver board,
New new rotten dog power board
New Led Displays from Boston Pinball Company
New Plastics set and New playfield Window
An original sound and speech card from another SYS80 game (the Export version Black Hole did not have speech)
Here's the sellers pics .. playfield needs a few touchups, especially around the bumpers, lower playfield is in great shape .
No idea when I will get time to make a start on this one

Very nice pickup there
Thanks Pete .. shame the backglass is pretty poor (I'll have to take a better pic of it and post it up) but thats part of the challenge &^&

Great game, glad you plan to add the speech, part of the charm of this game.

Great game, well done!

Congrats, nice pin, one of the few I that I remember playing in the early days.
I have a NOS back box spinning disc if you decide to venture down this way in the restore

Yepp, GREAT SCORE for sure, would like to see some bigger pictures of it *%* but what can be seen looks good ^^^
I've never played this title before but i sure do like the look of it, having seen vids on youtube.

Great project. I played BH a lot when it was released. The lower playfield is a treat and I love the feel and sweeping long shots. The other Gottlieb from this era which I regret not playing enough of is Spirit. There was only one machine in all of Sydney and I believe it was a very underated pin. Now it is highly desirable.
All the best for your restoration.

Thanks for the feedback guys ^^^
Sounds like at least a few of you will be interested in this resto when I can get started on it .
I just couldn't resist grabbing it for just under $1K with all the new parts included.
Might have to push it up the resto queue methinks &&
