Title: Gamma Setting
Post by: Chuck on October 22, 2008, 10:57:45 AM
Well I just finished a really cool feature I forgot about the gamma control.  In our config menu you select the gamma setting and I show white/red/green/blue color bar gradients.  Increasing gamma allows you to increase the signal drive coming from your video cards.  This means you can drive older/dull monitors a little harder and increase the color.  I also allow you to change each individual drive r/g/b.  So if your red drive is a little weak you can increase it to match the other colors.  Pretty cool stuff.

The menus should be done soon and I'll shoot a video.

That's awesome!  #*#

I've found that the Red does tend to go first, so this will definitely give some extra life to the old monitors...

Great idea Chuck. I guess this means that owners will not have to manually adjust their monitors from the chassis / neckboard - which is always a risky proposition.

Nice "1%ers" like this add up and make a huge difference in the end !
