« on: January 10, 2014, 04:49:04 PM »
Hi guys ,
I have just had news that a couple of NIB ACDC pinballs have been STOLEN from a factory storage facility in Dandenong VIC.

Here's some info about the LE / serial numbers of the machines "

" Stolen from a factory storage in Dandenong Vic.

 Machine serial numbers
BACK IN BLACK SERIAL NO E234177 LE #93
LET THERE BE ROCK SERIAL NO E234449 LE #65

 Any information would be appreciated

A $1000 reward is also on offer for information that leads to the return of the machines.
"

So if you hear of a NIB ACDC LE for sale be sure to check it's serial and / or LE number .

The guy who posted about them is "swine hoont" from Aussie Arcade . He's not a member here .

They are also not his machines apparently , but one of his mates .

It's a low act . At the end of the day it's probably a good thing that they are LE's as they will be more easily recognisable from their LE number . Had they have been Premiums then they could change hands to an unsuspecting buyer easily .

Low act. I guess any of the two that appear on Fleabay or Gumtree should have the question about the SN requested.

I hate hearing about stolen pinballs.

not good at all,
in a storage place, most likely have security cameras, tucked away in storage not many people would have known they were there, if these pins surface & they find these scum bags chances are hes probably knows them somehow, best of luck to the owner getting hes pins back  *%*, publicity in social media is a powerful tool, early this week a historic race car worth 200-300k got stolen from a workshop in rowville, news of this traveled very fast on the radio/TV/social media, turned up few days later dumped not far from where it was taken from, maybe rare item was to hot to handle, these pins with the serial #'s low volume may help out, again hope it all works out.

That sucks big time, they will turn up some where, hopefully sooner than later.

Can't believe someone would buy 2 ACDC LE NIB pins and then put them in storage for that long. I'd be itching to set one up and play it. Was anything else taken or just the pins? Kind of a strange thing to steal being LE's especially. The pinball community in AUS is very close knit, a flag will raise pretty quick if either or both come up for sale anywhere.

Interested as to how insurance will value them should it come to that , cost of machines or there expected current market value.

Being in security for 20 plus years, a lot of thefts from storage places are inside jobs (sad to say).

I have my 90 percent of my machines stored n all insured.

It would take a truck n 3 men at least an entire day to get 40 machines (hopefully a big deterrent. I check every few days plus put an alarm in my storage shed which would blow ya ear drums out.) Place has cameras n all that, gates n pin numbers galore......

Not saying this is the case here at all, but I have heard that people insuring machines for top dollar, selling to friends at 80 percent price for cash n collecting on insurance has happened in QLD a few times I have heard whispers of. The guy did get caught cause he had a big mouth. Both were also ACDC but Premium n a Pro.

All thieves are scum n the biggest cowards on earth. Anything on earth slinking around in the dark should be shot.

Hope he gets his machines back.

spot on. cause whoever buys it is only going to have to give the machine back sooner or later (when someone talks etc) and then they are out of pocket 10 grand plus a criminal record for receiving stolen goods perhaps.

just hope some nooby doesn't get caught up in it not knowing they are stolen, cause he would think he is buying a legit machine if he didn't read the pinball forums n would also be out of money....maybe the machines might be heading overseas perhaps...??

Heard about this a couple of weeks ago on AA, forwarded on Facebook at our end listing serial nos. reaching 400+ network of friends and so on.
Doesn't hurt to spread the word.
