Judge Dredd. Back in Black.
« on: May 30, 2022, 10:28:06 AM »
I saw Chris Hutchins of High End Pins post a resto of a Judge Dredd all black out on pinside.

I loved the entire look of the game, and having never played one, set out to find a really nice one with faded decals. This i did and ordered all black decals and speaker panel from Europe, and gave it To Neil at Coffs harbour to redo the cab for me.

I needed a new translight, but luckily RTBB had a mirrored CPR backglass in stock, so that was what went in it. Colour DMD etc, the machine presents as stunning and i hope to have it as one of my machines i take to pinfest this year. Come and say hi and have a game if you are there.

Well this is a case where the black version is better than the original. That looks incredible ! The CPR mirrored backglass finishes it off beautifully. Tilt Graphics Gameblades etc always look amazing. Really nice game. I restored a Black version of DE Star Wars and it looked 100 times better that the original.

Agree with others, Black looks way better than blue.

If you also powder coat the rails and lockdown bar black it would look awesome.

The one that inspired me had the rails and bar in gold. It looks incredible. Unfortunately i can't find gold trim here, but i'm talking to someone about laying down high quality paint on a new set of trim.

If i thought it would be easy i could get it powdercoated gold, but i doubt that would stick on the chrome/stainless.
