Here's how the cabinet and headbox has turned out .
Need to do a couple of minor touchups and cleanoff the pencil lines etc.
I ended up repainting the inside (mainly to tidy up my repair) and laquering the base.

Yeah .. sure is , I'm glad this part is done as I got sick of it half way thru .. it's a lot of work to repaint .
 I had to remake the stencils from scratch as I'd thrown the other ones away, that I made last time.. didn't think I'd ever need em again.

Gee you're roaring along with this. The lacquer on the cab base looks too good to cover up.  Did you find it much easier and faster doing the second cab repaint?

I have some extra time at the moment as I am working 12hr shifts (4 on/4 off) . We work a cycle of 2 months 12 hr shift then 6 weeks 9-5.
No, it wasn't any easier second time around .. a bit faster tho cause this time I did both the cab and headbox at the same time.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm pretty happy with how the cab turned out .
Just finished overhauling all the score reels  . There are 12 on this game. That makes 40 reels in total that I've overhauled so far  . Only 4 steppers to go and the mechanical overhaul is finished.

Think of it this way - you really will never have to worry about rebuilding them again for 20 years !

I enjoy rebuilding steppers as they are nearly ALMOST always sluggish, and post rebuild, the game always plays better.

Great work on the cabinet it looks awsome.   And as for the score reels and steppers Nino is 100% you will probably never have to touch them again

Milestone.
I've finished overhauling the backbox and its back in the head 

The ball count unit needed a new spring kit.
The number match unit (and in this game the dealer unit) also needed a new spring kit.
The step up coil was also stuffed and the tip of the plunger mushroomed (coil stop was R.S) .
This is the 1st mushroomed plunger tip I've come across.
Basically this mech didn't work . It does now .   

So I reckon I'm now 75% finished on this machine.

Looks great - Keep up the good work.
Youre circles look good - still looking for a tool to cut perfect circles into the contact (Something adjustable for different diameters with a super sharp razor).

Still working on this game .. finished overhaul of the mechs on the playfield and backboard.

Here's a couple of before and after pics of the legs and coin door. Unfortunately the door is badly scratched but still looks better chrome than the dodgy brothers grey paint job it had (looked like a 10 yr old had painted it)
