Title: 6V 5A 4 pole SPST relay
Post by: robm on January 27, 2014, 05:41:31 PM
Chasing a 6V 5A 4 pole SPST relay which is part of the flipper circuit in Data East LW3. Having a problem where the flippers stop working after its being played for 1/2 hour or so, but when you tap the relay, they work again.

Thanks

Rob

Is it the same as the one in early Bally SS machines???

Either way let me know as I WILL be able to get you one here Rob for certain

Mike - you are a champion

I don't really know much more detail. The pinrepair guide states "This relay is a 6 vdc, 5 amp, 4 pole relay with four SPST switches"

Below is an excerpt from the schematic

What voltage is it for?

Sounds like the same relay that's on a Williams SYS3-7 driver board
If you get an OMRON MY4NJ relay and a pcb mount socket is the Williams one for 28 volt

It is likely the same footprint as the Williams one BUT with a 6V coil rather than 28V

Send me a pic Rob (email is best)

Sending you an email now Mike,

for reference, the writing on top says FRL/264 D006/04CV      9302

On the side it says

Coil 6V DC
Contact
1/6 HP 120V AC MAX
5A R 240V AC MAX
     30V DC MAX
C300

Sorry I sould have been more specific, the Williams one is 6V coil, 28V 5A contacts
Looks like that is the same relay so the OMRON MY4NJ is what you want, but you will need a pcb mount socket for it.

What voltage are the flippers?

It is very likely the same type of relay as the Williams one - the footprint is certainly the same.
