Nice! I am generally not a fan of toppers as to me they don't 'do' anything.
But i do like his and how he integrates them into the machines. Thinking very hard about his Roadshow one....Thinking postage on that will be a killer though.
Other thing stopping me is once i have one topper...... &&
-
Yes, the Roadshow one he has is nice..
Toppers are fun, and add something unique to a pinball machine..they are also a way to customise your machine, or make it stand out from every other persons machine...sometimes I see a topper as a way to show some creativity, to show perhaps what could have been if the factory did one etc..also, its a way to get people over to a machine and have a closer look...
Its also a way to make a 3D version of a static translite, or a moving physical version of a alive translite..I have over 40 custom toppers, one for every machine I have, and most are wayyy cool, and very imiginative... also, toppers can be invented very easily and most tiomes can be very cheap.
An example, for a basketball themed game like Spacejam, can be just to add a proper full size NBA basket ball as a topper...it clearly shows from 10 meters away that this has a basketball theme to thge pinny...I have an alien and a area 51 sign for X files, and many other weird n wonderful versions for all the rest...You can easily add lights to any topper just by purchasing a few bulb holders and flasher lamps n coloured flasher covers and wire them into a existing flasher on the playfield..
definately a cheap n fun way to bring a game alive if u make a real good one...
That fellow wrote back to me already, so he is on the ball and offers great service as well. ^^^

Hey guys, My name is David, owner operator of pinballtoppers.com. A friend of mine mentioned your forum to me. I'm so pleased to see interest all over the world. I've shipped a few orders to Australia already.
Those interested in shipping prices. 1 kit runs 18.00 USD in a small flat rate USPS box and that's all that will fit in a small box. The next price range is for a medium flat rate box. The medium flat rate box runs 47.95 USD and I can get 5 maybe 6 kits in a medium box. It stinks cause I can only get 1 kit into a small flat rate but several in a medium. Keep that in mind if you are interested in ordering or want to maybe share shipping with someone.
There are lots of photos on pages 3,4,5 over at pinside.com http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinballtopperscom-new-product-light-kits/page/3
install manual is online - http://www.pinballtoppers.com/files/manuals/Speaker_Light_Kits.pdf
I look forwarnd to seeing some of the ones I sent to Australia already installed here soon!
If anyone has any questions just shoot me an email. admin@pinballtoppers.com
Thanks again for the support

So glad to see that they made to ya ok. That's a long way for them to go. How did you mount the pirates? I like them in 3d mode myself. I'm just wondering what you did. I haven't heard much on the POTC but from what I have heard it seems like in front has been the popular way to go.

I mounted the POTC in the 3d mode,i had one side done in this way and the other side with it in front also but with the grill right behind it.After turning it on the 3d mode is so much better.Cheers Tony.

yeah, That's what I came to find out too. Turns out that some acrylics look better mounted in different ways. Kinda cool that with the 3 ways to install there is always some way to make the acrylic look good. TSPP is another that looks good in 3d mode but not so much on the other ways. Now, ACDC bolts I like them in peek-a-boo or stealth mode. They look really good hidden behind the grill as does Xmen. LOTR is a must to install in normal front mode along with other mirrored acrylics. We are about to release more designs soon. Avatar, and some others.

Hey all
I saw Punters 2 games in the flesh with these units installed for the 1st time today.
These mods are simply OUTSTANDING and I am amazed they havent been discussed further by the community.
Maybe more of us need to see these in the flesh to understand how good they look
GREAT work #*#

Thanks for the nice words. There is a group from Australia that is putting together an order to go out most likely next Monday. We ran out of kits but will have more by Friday and will be able to complete the order but will use the weekend to get everything packed. Anyways, there is more heading your way so hopefully more will have the chance to see them. Also, last week I recall shipping 4 or 5 separate orders to Australia. Every day in general our sales numbers are rising. We are starting to have a tough time keeping up which is good news overall.
Thanks
David

Remote control has a heap of colour options, fade out/in's or flash and you can ( somehow, yet to learn ) do some customs colour change selections yourself :)

Wotto, the kits look great. Little tip, you should do the 3d install method for Metallica. It will look twice as nice. The details are in the back of the manual. But here is a quick guide to help as well. Trust me you won't be disappointed. We have discovered that most kits look better with the 3d method.

Will check that out - cheers

yep - heaps better - thanks for the heads up.
Better in many regards.
Compare to pic above in thread
Hides the speaker from being so 'seen'
Plus what you cant see in this photo is that the grill is physically visible about 15mm behind the hand -which looks good too.
Now the grill holes dont show through the hand either
