Re: Williams system voltage conversion
« on: March 28, 2012, 06:48:12 PM »
Hi all,

I have system 3 hot tip & it still has the 120v lead on it.

Does any one know what has to be done to convert as it doesent have jumpers

Thanks
This is an extract from the defunct pinrepair guides:

"4. Converting Williams System3-6. games.

There is a plug going to the transformer (located in the backbox). This plug uses female .093" round Molex terminal pins. Modify the red plug as shown in the picture below (this game was from Europe and changed from 240 to 120 volts - the black jumper wire was added, and the white striped jumper was moved). Make sure the transformer has jumpers between lugs 2 & 3 and 6 & 7 (in the case of a 240 to 120 volt conversion, these jumpers should already be in place). I am not sure if this information applies to system7. "
