Bumper is for sale (again).  @.@

Was interesting to note that (for once) a reporter did some research before airing the story. She talked about the fact that Pinball was regarded as a gambling device up until the 70's (in some states).

I think the last public story (2-3 years ago) about Bumper was that it was being sold to its employees.

Yes, the master of marketing. Why let the facts stand in the way of a good story? Feel like calling C7 and suggesting they could have done a little more research on all the previous Selling to Staff; Going out of Business Sale; Getting Divorced Sale etc etc etc

There is a saying I have about Real Estate > "No one ever sells a gold mine, people only sell worthless tin mines dressed up as gold mines".

No one sells a profitable business. Even if u wanted to retire, you put in a good manager, sit back and keep the difference $$$.

But if people think you are going broke, they turn up and offer you 50 or 70 cents in the dollar for some or all of your stock. AND in this slower market, sometimes that can be a good thing to get some money thru the door and some free advertising.

On the gold coast, some businesses run permanent "Closing down sales". Sneaky but if it brings money thru the door.  ^^^

Don't know about that one. Businesses are sold everyday to companies who are lured by the profitability. E.g. insurance companies. However, as you say, a lot of these so called "closing down sales" are just to get customers through the door.
