For there to be that much rust, it must have been stored in a damp environment don't you think?

Some more than others... The playfields on all the games I've bought from this container were all EXCELLENT.. Backglasses were VERY GOOD.. Everything else can be restored.. Just need time and patience...
Yes - the storage would have been a damp place, but no water damage to any of the games..
