Still waiting for the capacitor kit to leave the States.
Meantime i have been researching the speaker system and have ordered new speakers;

a pair of 10 x 4 for the front speaker
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/183045742771

And a pair of 6.5" for the cab speaker

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173130666612

I'll have a spare pair to do another machine.

Also got the speaker cloth coming from Element 14. Just waiting to catch my boilermaker mate to see if he can polish the mild steel and clear it or something that's on the trim. Can't seem to find it for sale anywhere. Lift channel is available but the two trim pieces are hard to find. Really don't want to paint them black so i'm hoping it's possible to polish them, but i don't know.

Hey all, spent a couple hours on google this morning converting metric screws to imperial and searching for black self tappers correct until finding them eventually.
I'd like to convert the white plastic acorn nuts to black too, but no-one seems to have enough stock here in aus. lots on ebay, but i don't know what size they are.

This stuff is easy for you guys, but every little thing takes me hours to find.
If someone could tell me the specs of the nuts i'd love that.

These ones are m4 and i'm guessing they are what i want but i don't know and i bet you are itching to hit the buzzer. $#$

Sorry I’m useless when it comes to thread sizes and details,    I can grab you the right bolts and thread type from a box of random crap but zero idea what they are called

Thanks, i spent some time with conversion charts and calipers and ended up ordering m3.

Going to pull the coin mech today as one of the coin return doors is wedged open and it's pissing me off. First time with one of these but it looks reasonably straight forward.

I want to replace all the gal screws with black on the plastics and backboard where the eys are, then replace all the white acorn nuts with black on the orange and black plastics and leave the white ones on the 3 white plastics.
I know it's not stock, but a little detail that i think will improve it for me anyway.

To the original display question, Neil put the new capacitors in and they are now bright, stable and clear. The new speakers went in and the sound is now twice as good to my ear.

Trim all polished up, speaker panel cleaned and now the coin return fixed. Running out of things to nit pick on this, although i'm sure the pro's can find plenty.

It's also playing very well, my improvement on the factory high score of 251 mil lasted only a couple weeks and i got my arse handed to me last week and it now sits at over 350 mil. <.> *)*

So line the inside of the cab with black velvet, gold earth braid and purple mechs, Pinstadiums and some plastic figurines cable tied to the plastics?

If that’s what floats your boat,   I’ve done worse .   Zebra fur on a bally playboy for example

Not sure if this is forbidden or not since bumper is now dead and buried,   I still cringe at this video but oh well
