Gottlieb Devils Dare Sys 80 Issue - Urgent!
« on: March 20, 2010, 12:15:31 PM »
Hi Guys

My mate got my Devils dare going and I bought it home, did the nice clean , re rubber, bulb , installed the NOS Backglass. Looks great.

Went to start a game and no ball kickout, no playfield switch activation, drop target bank reset etc. The credit meter decreased the number and showed ball one in play.

Tested all PF fuses = all ok , All balls seated in trough ok.
Went through solenoid test , all ok.
Checked all board plugs - all seated properly.

What should I do next? Have pin people coming tomorrow and dont want to disappoint them.

Thanks in advance
Clive

UPDATE

I reseated all the plugs on all boards and tightened up a ground connection. I powered it on and it ejected a ball and I was able to play , however it would not recognise that the ball had drained. I lifted the playfield and manually activated the trough switch but still nothing.

Now what do I look for?

Thanks
Clive

Clive - sounds like a connector issue - switch matrix connectors to the CPU board. Do you have schematics ?

You will need to find the row / column - it will be a number of switches that will not be working, or the switch itself needs to be cleaned it is the ONLY switch not working.
