Title: ? Converting an Electronic game back to an EM ?
Post by: Pop Bumper Pete on May 01, 2012, 06:19:15 PM
I had the idea this morning of converting an electronic machine (Bride of Pinbot) back to an EM
Giving the machine a ‘Steam Punk’ look, as ‘The Bride’ looks that way already
Mount as many motors and relays in the backbox
Make the translight as transparent as possible so the player can see the relays
Single player, nixie tubes for scoring
Get the playfield repainted
Get things plated brass, probably even  brass posts

Sound is a problem as ‘The Bride’ does talk

Repaint the cabinet, anything has to be better than original

I know it will not play as original, but this is about looks, rather than function. And I know it will not be a simple task

Has this ever been done?

Any thoughts?
(Good or bad)

I think that it is a pretty cool idea but a massive project.
