That is a great set up ... and with a little time, patience and persistence I am sure you'll manage to secure some more of the garage 
Already discussed with the boss a while back and there is a way ..
I can have the whole double garage if
a) I fit an electric roller door on the back garage (the dble garage has one on the side where the boss parks her car
b) fit electric gates (there are gates attached to the back of the house in the driveway before the back garage
c) fit a weatherproof walkway from the back garage to the back pergola
As you can see .. it aint gonna happen
